The beach is my place. 🩵 But, the ocean centers me; it comforts me. I love how small it makes me feel and how close to God I can’t help but experience there, just in awe of His creation.

Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
“It is well, it is well with my soul.”
Those words have been really hard to sing lately. This video is from a few days after so much in many of our world’s changed. We had no track, no click, were off rhythm, had some voice cracks - just four people barely standing, doing the best we could to worship a Savior who deserves it.
I’ve spent the last month trying to make sense of what’s happened. I’ve said this many times - it’s not like our world got turned upside down, it’s like we were a beautiful snow globe and someone came along and shattered it on the ground. So many questions we’ll never get answered, but I know this much…
We are sinners, but God is good.
We are a broken people, but God uses broken people to further His kingdom.
I have been so humbled in acknowledging my own sin and my own shortcomings and am refocusing on what I need to change to better walk in step with Him and less in step with the world.
I am in absolute awe of the courage I have witnessed from so many. The incredibly brave women in the epicenter of this storm are forever my heroes in how they are handling each day with grace and trusting in His goodness.
God has graciously given me the most incredible family, friends and church family. The amount of you that have reached out and made yourselves accessible to me and to all those hurting, has been overwhelming. I appreciate and love you more than I could ever say.
The loss of innocence, life, a friend, what we knew to be true, and on and on and on… I don’t know how you get through life without God. I know I can’t.
Are we okay? Am I okay? Nope. But, we will be. I will be. Because God says He will restore us and make us whole again and I believe Him.
My favorite thing about this video is hearing the body join together and worship even thou we’re wrecked. Because, it is well with my soul. 🙌🏻 taken in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church by @jaclyngraves
