august ☀️ end of summer endless family time by @jaclynkari
june ☀️ summer is officially here… and so is the heat. june was full of family time, a couple of big firsts, and a few adventures. Michael lost his first tooth, and I somehow climbed the elevation of Mt. Everest during the 29029 challenge. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I’m so grateful for the experience. Chris and I also snuck away for a much-needed date night. we spent the rest of the month soaking up summer together, making the most of these long, hot days. by @jaclynkari
29029 ✔️ Wow. This challenge was a lot harder than I expected. I knew climbing 29,029 feet—the equivalent of Mount Everest—would be difficult, but I didn’t expect it to test me the way it did. It pushed me in ways I haven’t experienced before and forced me to approach things differently than I’m used to. Instead of pushing harder, I had to slow down, be patient, and trust the process. Along the way, I met some incredible people, heard some amazing stories, and was reminded that everyone is carrying something. No matter where we come from or what our goals are, we’re all facing challenges of our own. A huge thank you to everyone who followed along, cheered me on, donated, and supported my fundraiser for the Kyle Pease Foundation. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help raise awareness and support for an organization doing incredible things for people with disabilities. And to my family, friends, coaches, volunteers, and everyone who helps make these crazy adventures possible—thank you. Your support means more than you know. #pushingbeyondlimits #teamnasser #redbibredhat by @jaclynkari
One week from today, I’ll be making my way up the Snowbasin Resort mountain, climbing a total of 29,029 feet, the equivalent of Mount Everest. I’m excited for the challenge, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous. The altitude, the elevation gain, and the slower pace are all outside my comfort zone. In all my years of endurance sports, the goal has always been to get to the finish line as fast as possible. This event is different. It’s about pacing myself, embracing the journey, meeting new people, and discovering what we’re capable of when we keep showing up and putting one foot in front of the other. But while I’m on the mountain, my biggest motivation will be the friends I’m climbing for at the Kyle Pease Foundation. They face challenges every day with incredible strength, determination, and positivity. My hope is that this climb not only raises awareness but also helps raise funds to support the amazing work being done through the foundation. If you’d like to support the cause, it’s not too late—and no donation is too small. Every bit helps make a difference. Link is in the bio. Thank you for the support. I’ll be sure to share updates from the mountain next week. Keep climbing. 💙 #PushingBeyondLimits #29029Everesting #KylePeaseFoundation by @jaclynkari
April 🌷 A month of family time, warm weather, and lots of little memories in between. We kept Easter simple and low key with family, then headed to Orlando for Michael’s birthday and a little Disney fun — no actual parks this trip, but we still made the most of it with Disney Springs, Skyliner rides, fireworks, Blizzard Beach, and lots of pool time. ✨ Proudest moment: Michael getting brave enough to swim without floaties. 🥹 We spent so much time outside enjoying the nice weather, watching the chicks grow up, and squeezing in a sweet Mom & Son night at school before celebrating Michael with a monster truck birthday party at the house. 🐥 April ended on a really hard note as we said goodbye to our sweet Chin. Losing a pet is never easy, and her cuddly little soul is missed so much already. 🤍 by @jaclynkari
Five ✋🏼 Happy 5th Birthday, Michael! 1,825 days of loving you—and when you really think about it, that’s 1,825 days we’ve gotten to be yours. You’ve filled our lives with so much love, laughter, and the kind of moments we wish we could bottle up forever. That bright grin, those shining blue eyes, and the sweetest, most tender heart—especially for animals and your family—make you so incredibly special. You love being outside, exploring, and soaking up the world around you, and watching you grow into exactly who you are has been one of our greatest joys. We are so proud to be your parents. We love you more than you’ll ever know. Happy 5th birthday, sweet boy. 🥳 by @jaclynkari
I’m taking on a different challenge this year for my friends with The Kyle Pease Foundation. This time I will be climbing 29,029 vertical feet (same elevation as Mt. Everest) up Snowbasin Mountain to help bring more opportunities of inclusion for every person with a disability. It will be different, it will be challenging, it will be rewarding. Most of all, with your help, it helps those with disabilities beyond the finish line — employment opportunities, equipment upgrades, home modifications to enhance independence and quality of life. Please consider donating to my page here to help me reach the summit 😋. Anything is much appreciated! #pushingbeyondlimits #29029everesting #kylepeasefoundation Link is also in bio! https://www.givengain.com/project/jaclyn-raising-funds-for-the-kyle-pease-foundation-113805?_kx=Q7wluiMX72_9nXaQ6UFW_tzkINfhHNZXiqsUoytW7p8dR5HDrqOyJmrOQlFHlpcp.VxXyiq by @jaclynkari
March! Collin and I took a trip to Florida: family time and lots of golf: Arnold Palmer Invitational with Dad and coworkers. Hung with Dad’s golfing buddies. 🏌🏻Lots of construction at our house: new roof, gutters, windows, and decking, even painted the house. Now I’m obsessed. Thanks to Chris’ team! 🏡 We got several new chicks, six to be exact, the boys can’t stop holding and taking care of and I can’t wait for the eggs to come. 🐥 Enjoying spring 🌸 More golf: a ladies golf morning to remind us we need to get out here more. 🏌️‍♀️ by @jaclynkari
from the bay to bottles to bedazzled artists, it was the perfect trip to one of my favorite cities with some favorite people #sanfrancisco #napa #baybridge #magic by @jaclynkari
January snaps: Collin got his first haircut, bye bye mullet 💇🏼 ran the Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race for the second time 🏃‍♀️ Chris and I went out on a date to celebrate our marathon 🥩🏅ate too many sweets 🍨 the boys are bonding, playing together more, yay! and started playing video games 🎮 and we finally got our snow for the year! ⛄️❄️ by @jaclynkari
December: The shortest yet somehow longest month ever! Kicked it off with the BEST girls’ trip to a beautiful mountain cabin with my high school besties—matching Christmas pajamas, endless laughs and games, and vino overload. ❤️ Then… the plot twist nobody wanted. The boys got slammed with the crud and were out of school for a full week right before Chris and I were supposed to run the Huntsville marathon. We were eating Zicam, Vitamin C, and D like it was candy, praying we’d dodge it. Spoiler: we didn’t. But we still managed to be healthy enough to drag ourselves to the start line on a FREEZING Sunday morning—25°F with 15mph winds (felt like 11° 🥶). Hands so numb I literally couldn’t feel my fingers to grab my gels, so I had to stop 4x times to ask volunteers to dig them out of my pockets for me. Most frustrating race ever… but also the sweetest victory lap because: We both PR’d and placed in our age groups!!! And after 10 YEARS of chasing it, I finally BOSTON QUALIFIED!!! 🦄 Still pinching myself. Then spent the night in Huntsville celebrating our 8-year anniversary with my favorite person—having burgers and beers at a rockin’ place and caught up on Netflix. Then straight into full Christmas mode: the boys scored a massive trampoline (energy burn incoming 🙌) got way too many inflatables this year in the yard, and yes, we ate ALL the food. But the best part? Being surrounded by family the whole time and remembering the real reason for Christmas. Feeling extra grateful this year. 🎄✨ #decembertoremember #BQDreamAchieved #GirlsTrip #MarathonMom #ChristmasChaos by @jaclynkari
