I learned this trick when I was about her age.

It fooled me once, then I figured out the trick. 😆

But this was the second time I did it for Peyton and she was shocked both times! 💕

If it's not obvious...

The set up:
▫️Need all 10's, Jack's, Queen's, and King's + one Ace. (I always use spades)
▫️You will put each in the same suit order (club, heart, diamond, spade). Or whatever order you wish.
▫️Stack them (bottom to top): King's, 10's, Queen's, and Jack's.
▫️You're ready to start.

The Story:
▫️ The Ace card represents the bank and lights on (face up) or lights off (face down).
▫️The story in this video is the one I learned, but you can make up any story you want as long as each card represents a character or item and it makes sense.
▫️You just flip them over one at a time to make four piles.
▫️When you pick them up, keep them in order and just stack in a single pile. (Having your child pick the order here really adds to the "Wow" factor for them!)
▫️Then, turn out the lights (flip the Ace over)
▫️Sort them into four piles, face down, going in the same order (like you're dealing) untill all 16 cards are dealt.
▫️ Then you turn on the lights (flip the Ace up).
▫️ Flip each pile over one at a time and reveal how they all are grouped now.

So simple, but super cute and easy for kids to learn as well.

I may let this one marinate a little longer with Peyton before I show her how it works. 🤣

This camera is in my basement/cellar. My house was built in 1932. I've always felt like I'm being watched when I'm down there, but have never been able to "prove" there are any spirits in my home. Btw, that's our dog's kennel. He only uses it when we're gone during the day. What do you think?
