Through the ups and downs, highs and lows, God has always been faithful.
After long talks with my family, I am thrilled to announce my commitment to play baseball at Louisiana State University!
I am grateful that God has blessed me with the talents and opportunities to play the game I love. Thank you to my parents for the love and support you give me every day, and to my coaches who push me to be my best. Thank you to the LSU coaching staff for this opportunity. I can’t wait for the next chapter… Geaux Tigers!!! 🐯

“But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” – Matthew 19:26

Congratulations to Jacob Seamon on being named North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year!

Gatorade Player of the Year is the top honor in high school sports, celebrating the nation’s best high school athletes for their excellence in sport, academics and community. The award recognizes Seamon as North Carolina’s best high school baseball player and he joins an elite legacy that spans professional athletes and coaches to CEOs, such as Clayton Kershaw (2005-06, Highland Park, TX), MacKenzie Gore (2016-17, Whiteville High School, NC) and Seth Hernandez (2024-25, Corona High School, CA).

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound junior outfielder posted a .528 batting average with 13 home runs, 30 extra-base hits and 50 RBI this past season, leading the Warriors (28-6) to the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association Class 4A championship series. Seamon scored 61 runs and stole 31 bases, recording a .595 on-base percentage and a 1.104 slugging percentage. He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 2 recruit in the Class of 2027 by Baseball America.

Seamon has volunteered locally with Samaritan’s Purse as part of disaster relief efforts and has also donated his time as a youth baseball coach. “Jacob is the most talented player you’ll find in high school baseball,” said Darren Adams, head coach of Metrolina Christian Academy. “He has an incredible combination of power, speed and athleticism.”

Seamon has maintained a weighted 4.55 GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to play baseball at Louisiana State University beginning in the fall of 2027. by @jacob.seamon
