5x7 Plein Air paintings from a recent camping trip.

Outdoor painting is all about chasing the true colors of nature not just copying from a photo. It’s easily the most frustrating way to paint, but I love that feeling. by @jacob_harbeck

I’ve immersed myself in contemplation with this painting, grappling with its emotions—caught between the delicate dance of sadness and beauty. How things come in and fade away. Reaching out and expanding. I dont know …. But this has a special place in my heart.

Few experiences bring me greater joy than plein air painting. Despite it being incredibly frustrating, the process immerses me in a state of complete flow as I focus on capturing the breathtaking beauty of Mother Nature. Monet was the first person to inspire me to continue painting out doors away from my studio.

My advice would be… they don’t have to be good but try your best to capture your feelings in that moment. by @jacob_harbeck
