Nimona is at the Oscar’s tonight for Best Animated Feature! ✨

To celebrate, here is my rough first pass at the first Hideout sequence (alongside one of the color keys) that I did when I rejoined the project at DNEG - I didn’t get much further with this sq as I moved onto other ones and ultimately we ended up saving the desaturated pallet for later in the film when Nimona is at her lowest - but I always thought this moodier version was kind of cool too! 😊

Some NIMONA fan art - I started drawing this right after we found out Blue Sky (and by extension, Nimona) was shutting down back in Feb 2021. ❤️
