𝘎𝘖 𝘍𝘐𝘎𝘜𝘙𝘌, opening February 5th at Foster/White.

This group exhibition brings together works by Jacob Feige @jacobfeige and kwonny @kwonny.art, both new to the gallery, alongside George Rodriguez @georgesculpts and Alden Mason @alden.mason.foundation

Across the exhibition, the figurative form becomes a site for transformation: color, pattern and line generate story, symbolism and structure, moving between representation and abstraction.

Opening reception Thursday, February 5, 6-8p, kwonny in attendance

Pgh Power school: the lives and times of William Earl Kofmehl III and Peter. Looking around Bill’s various studios and coming across my painting from 2002, more views of Bill’s items and farm life. Peter and I by a screen painting in the Carnegie International, and a nice painting by Peter at Bill’s house. Bill’s dad’s mail from 1986. by @jacobfeige

Jacob Feige @jacobfeige uses cast acrylic forms to render human likeness that draw equally on Byzantine icons and Modernist portraiture. Geometric cutaways reveal a canvas below, depicting stair and scaffolding patterns suggesting an architectural scale, monumental humans inhabited by numerous selves.

These and more works by Feige will be featured in 𝘎𝘖 𝘍𝘐𝘎𝘜𝘙𝘌, opening Feb 5 at Foster/White.
