POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Well(ish) rested, well fed and reenergised - lots of inspiration to draw upon from this trip.

Time away from our home city does a wonder of good. Italy is a home away from home, this trip gave me plenty of time to be alone with my thoughts whilst also surrounded by those closest to me. I also had amazing experiences with lots of new faces, it’s special being able to befriend people from across the globe! Life is good.

Repurposing this buzz into creative energy - will be dropping a mix with one of my favourite Aussie crews shortly. 🤍 by @jacobfoschi

Anomalie #064 - JACOB FOSCHI 🌀

For our next mix in our series we welcome @jacobfoschi

Spending more than half his life time DJing and a lifelong passion for music, Jacob is a true artist. Building and evolving his own sound, rather than following any trends, he has a unique approach.

From regular performances in some of Melbourne’s top Techno joints to closing sets at outdoor festivals, Jacob is a familiar face in our underground scene.

His mix is a rollercoaster of emotions, a constant change between tension and release, exploring the deeper and trippy sounds within Techno.

Swipe to read through our Q&A with Jacob Foschi.

Earlier this month I was invited to play at @risingsunfestivalaustralia , it was a beautiful way to kick off the year!

Will avoid making this a soppy post… 😂

However, It was an honour to be handed the reigns in closing out proceedings Saturday night of the festival over a 3 hour set.

Whilst I absolutely love playing in the club, there’s something special and unique playing/dancing amongst nature - I definitely feel this had an impact on the direction I leaned towards throughout the set.

As DJs we’re super fortunate to present music of all genres and styles, the longer set format allowed me to connect with a bunch of my favourite music from different periods of my life. It was awesome to see those on the dance floor resonate with my selections.

That’s all.

I <3 music!!!

Hope you enjoy, link is in my bio 🤍

A massive thank you to the Solace crew for the trust and top hospitality, seriously the best team! We’re very fortunate to have this space 🤍

Mix was recorded at 23:00 - 1:00, sandwiched between @mishlxy and @hitam.ec - both played beautiful sets!

The recorder taps out at certain points, I’ll leave it with you to figure out where 🤓

Episode 246 is out now featuring Jacob Foschi, a Melbourne/Naarm based DJ and Drummer with over 15 years of experimenting as a musician - today, Jacob's mode of storytelling is through techno.

Jacob aims to craft sets that pay homage to the traditional, timeless sound whilst incorporating modern interpretations and elements of techno. With a background in Jazz, he upholds a contemporary approach in his style of mixing contrasting between harsh and delicate soundscapes.
