As we head into September’s final weekend, we’re looking back on a month that gave us much to honor.

This video, Building the American Dream, shared a title with our Jacobsen Client & Partner Breakfast event and was created to recognize two significant milestones: 25 years since September 11, 2001, and America’s 250th birthday.

But at its heart, it is a tribute to the people who have built, rebuilt and continue to build the American dream, city by city, community by community, generation after generation.

To the builders, dreamers, craftspeople and partners whose hands and minds shape the places where America lives, works, heals, gathers and grows: this one is for you. 🇺🇸

Sometimes the most important thing we can do for someone is remind them they don’t have to carry life’s challenges alone.

Project Superintendent Mike Johnson shares a simple reminder about the importance of looking out for one another:

“Know you are good, you are needed, you are enough, you are loved. Life is so hard sometimes, and that will never change. Lean on those around you and ... be the one that can be leaned on.”

Jacobsen's renovation of the Intermountain Medical Center ICU is nearing completion!

Protecting ongoing patient care has been the central challenge and top priority of the project since day one. The project team here has upgraded 24 ICU treatment rooms across numerous phases on levels five and six, typically completing about two units at a time, all while accounting for highly sensitive conditions inside the active hospital.

The new treatment rooms will better support the highest standards of intensive care provided by Intermountain Health physicians and their teams.

At the New York stop of our #BuildingTheAmericanDream celebration, our guests recreated one of the most famous scenes in American construction history — and brought personality to spare!

Nearly a century after the original "Lunch atop a Skyscraper" photo, we’re still inspired by the people behind the buildings: the visionaries, partners and builders who take big ideas and make them real.

We’re grateful to build alongside so many of them.

Jacobsen's St. George team is making big progress at Red Rock Companies headquarters!

This 25,000-square-foot building will be a modern, amenity-rich corporate home that supports the success of Red Rock team members, who are industry leaders in commercial and residential real estate, property management and vacation rentals throughout southern Utah.

Builders onsite are currently finishing drywall and starting paint work, with building turnover set for December.

Today, we welcomed partners and clients to Jacobsen headquarters to celebrate 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. 🇺🇸

With America turning 250, this year’s Jacobsen Breakfast was about honoring the many generations of builders in this country whose ambition, resilience and skill have shaped communities and raised skylines.

The day’s events focused on four unique places that tell America’s story and reveal our place in it:

📍 San Francisco, where founder Soren Jacobsen began his life in construction
📍 Salt Lake City, our home for 104 years
📍 Hawaii, representing the reach of our work into the Pacific
📍 New York, where Americans rebuilt after tragedy

Nothing beats the satisfaction that comes from improving an active hospital's healing environment while keeping patients safe.

Jacobsen recently finished renovating this cath lab at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. The project included multiple facility upgrades and lab equipment installations to meet the latest world-class care standards at Dignity Health, all while minimizing disruption to both patients and staff. The hospital is now better suited than ever to treat diagnose and treat serious heart problems, saving and improving people's lives in the process.

AGC of Utah represents 660-plus firms, strengthening the industry through workforce training, public policy advocacy, awards programs and networking events.

With key partners ARCHSOL, DHE Engineering, Buehler Engineering, Cannon & Wendt Electric, W.D. Manor Mechanical and AROK, our team delivered a state-of-the-art operating room purpose-built for spinal procedures at the HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center. Together, we used numerous precautions to prevent disruptions to ongoing patient care nearby. The upgraded space supports HonorHealth's spinal surgeons in their work to restore quality of life to patients.

This is Jacobsen's third partnership with HonorHealth to earn industry recognition from ENR Southwest, with similar renovations also winning awards in 2024 and 2025.
