BTS from “STARGIRL” for @innovatefilmfestival

We made a popstar !! To everyone that was involved in this process, I’ve already said so much. I’ve already given my thanks, but again, I will say… I am SO grateful to each and every person that contributed in the creation of this film. It takes a special team to create something like this, and I feel so proud of us. 💜 Over a year of conceptualizing and piecing together what makes “Stargirl”, we did it !!

This film is so special to me because I see the things that inspired me as a little boy. It pays homage to all the strong women I looked up to as a young queer kid in spaces where I didn’t feel okay with being 100% myself in. Stargirl represents those powerful women who made me feel like it was okay to be myself.

Big thank you to @gippstagram and @joetuliao for the opportunity to truly innovate. 💜 by @jacobvergel

"Body Language" by NIKKAELA. Directed by Joe Tuliao

Hands down my biggest project yet. This is my second time working with Nikkaela and Joe and every time it's always such a pleasure. Thank you for trusting me with your guys vision, this was a special one for me as much as it was for you!

Shoutout the filipino representation both on and behind screen. This music video was shot the same night the first filipino woman won an Oscar for best cinematography. What an amazing time to be a creative, to be filipino, and to be both 🙏
