“Che soave zeffiretto…” 🎶💖

Hard to believe it’s been over a decade since we shared the @merolaopera stage for this duet! Thirteen years later (we were just 22 & 23!!!), and still remember singing Sull’aria with @mvaldesoprano. A moment of pure magic and a sweet memory we’ll never forget. ✨ Enjoy!

Feeling a #throwbackthursday with Figaro.

Please enjoy Porgi amor from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. Countess’ opening act aria and a role I’ve enjoyed performing with all the Mozart nuance and flair! 💖🎶 #cheers @athloneartists

I’m a runner & a cycle lover, but it is time to work on strengthening the core! Legs might not be 6 inches off the ground yet, but the burn is real.

Open book for the best core workouts, hit me up with your favorites! 🏋️‍♀️

Long post incoming, I apologize in advance.

Sharing a definitive highlight performing a duet from Trovatore for the warm community of @saintmeinrad alongside incredible stage partner, Tim Renner, and the brilliant Kevina Lam at the piano.

As I reflect on recent performances like this one, I’m continually reminded of the vast gap between the lived experience of singing and the discourse that surrounds it. It is always a fascinating exercise to navigate the contemporary artistic landscape, and equally fascinating, albeit informative at times, to watch the perennial academic puzzle of trying to box a unique instrument into a neat, predictable category (yes, even the “speculative mezzo” theories).

A live instrument is never a pursuit of clinical perfection, it is a living, breathing entity, a work always in progress. Away from the obsession with rigid definitions and flawless execution, performing for an audience of such profound warmth and presence serves as the truest reminder of why we do this. For it is precisely within those shared moments that the tether of true connection within this art form lies. Because at the end of the day, nothing can replicate or replace the visceral, transcendent human connection of live music.
