Champions of the 2025 Cape Epic! 🏆

Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling the world with this incredible team, forming a bond that transcends the sport. From conquering World Championships to breaking World Cup records, we’ve shared countless triumphs together. But for me, the elusive Cape Epic win remained a dream until now.

To @nschurter and @colom_fil you are true champions, both on and off the bike. Your dedication and hard work make my job a breeze, and I’m constantly grateful for your willingness to put yourselves in front of the camera at the end of a long, hard stage.

The entire week was a rollercoaster of intense racing, filled with laughter, joy, a champagne shower at the end. It was an unforgettable experience that I’m incredibly proud to be a part of.

I still remember looking at the back of my camera after taking this shot, I was ecstatic. You’re watching this incredible moment through the viewfinder, firing on a 12fps burst, and for a brief moment before you hit the playback button you’re like “shit, did I actually get the shot?” It’s one of those rare moments where everything just comes together. I think it might be one of the best photographs I’ve ever taken, which is why I’ve chosen it to kick off this series.

There’s something about the simplicity of this image that draws me in every time: the symmetry, the starkness, the way the kite lifts off from this single dry branch with so much grace and power. It feels calm and alive all at once.

This is also one of the few wildlife images I’ve ever printed for someone else. I remember showing it to a family friend (@craigschmee1), and before I could even say anything, he looked at it and said, “I need this in my house.” As a photographer, that’s about the best thing you can hear.

As someone who produces content for a living, I’ve never been particularly active on social media. Most of the time, I’ll share something in my stories when other people post it, or drop a few of my favourite shots in my feed.

My path into this world was a bit unplanned. After deciding four months into university that it wasn’t for me, I signed up for a photography course as a sort of gap year experiment. I grew up in a family that loves the bush, I think I was two when my parents first took me camping in Botswana. On one of those trips, sometime in high school, I picked up one of their old cameras and started photographing wildlife. That’s where it all began.

There’s a lot about wildlife photography that feels similar to shooting action sports: the patience, timing, and quiet focus when everything aligns for a split second. I think that connection is what led me to where I am now, filming athletes and telling stories through motion.

Even though I never made a career out of wildlife photography, it’s always stayed close. Over the years I’ve quietly built up a catalogue of images that, for whatever reason, call it imposter syndrome, call it perfectionism, I’ve mostly kept to myself. I’d show them to friends in person, but never really shared them publicly. In the world of social media, where everything moves so fast, If you don’t post something the moment it happens it starts to feel irrelevant. I think I’m finally over that mindset.

With an exciting trip to Zambia coming up in January, I’ve decided to start sharing some of my wildlife work, hopefully a photo a day. It’s less about chasing engagement, and more about building consistency in posting, writing, and sharing what I love.

So here’s to day one. If you enjoy what’s to come, drop a comment, share it with your friends, or just stick around for the ride. Tomorrow, I’ll share one of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken.

A little late to the Lunar Eclipse party, but I had some proper fun missioning around with @kylegoetschphotography last week. From colourful canola sunsets and full moon rises to ending it off with Friday morning’s Lunar Eclipse, where we were treated to 2 hours of cloud cover and a single 5 minute glimpse of the actual moon 🌙

Really enjoying the intentionality behind these planned compositions lately.

Swipe through for the colours 👉🏼

MTB World Cup. Crans-Montana, Switzerland. 2024

the road to roubaix

i rarely get to experience cycling from the sidelines—but here we are.

what started as an idea from @christotoua quickly turned into reality for him, myself, and @jacquesinthepark.

today marks the start of the 2026 @parisroubaixcourse.
“the hell of the north.”

today, we get to tell a chapter of this race from a different perspective—onlookers, not participants.

we flew into brussels, spent a few days soaking it in, then made our way into france. along the way, we caught a belgian classic—@scheldeprijsofficial—drank beers from sunrise to sunset, and wandered through some of the most incredible old cities, trying (and failing) to live a simple tourist life… all with one goal in mind.

we’ve recce’d three five-star cobble sectors. we’ve got a plan.

first time in belgium. second time in france. not a bad way to do it—especially with croatia calling tomorrow morning for @4islandsmtb.

let’s see how it plays out.
