where do I even begin… I cannot wrap my head around the fact that it’s been a whole 5 years with out you pappi. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about you or talk about you to anyone that will listen lol! Because whenever I do get the opportunity to bring you up and talk about you I always will! I will always be grateful for you not only being the best grandpa a girl could ever ask for but for stepping up and becoming the father figure I needed. Words can never express the gratitude and the love I have for you and will always have for you! you taught me to appreciate family and life and not to worry so much as you used to say! You never complained when I needed an extra ride to practice because I joined another team or another sport, and always stopping for dunkin on the way to school even if we were already late just bc I wanted it lol shhh.. ( I miss our dunkin runs so much) even got to where you started asking me if I wanted to go get coffee🥲 You truly are and if not the most important person who has shaped me into who I am today. I wouldn’t be as resilient, independent, and as hardworking if it weren’t for you always pushing me and wanting what’s best for me and ofc always telling me ‘stop worrying abt a bf and to focus on your studies girl’ lol. Truly life hasn’t and will never be the same since you left to heaven, but I know you wouldn’t want me to wallow or be sad but it’s hard when a big part of who I am and the person who did it all and always showed up when I needed him is no longer in the other room or a text/call away. You were always so kind and loving and very much into old school Filipino ways but that’s what made you so special and you! You not only have done so much for your country in the stories you would share with me but also in the ones that were to hard to speak of that you kept to yourself, but you’ve also done so much for the family and most importantly so much for me! You will forever and always be my hero!
