A bumper few days on the biggest story Victoria has seen in years. Exhausting work, but so rewarding to be supported by the best - both up here and back in our Melbourne newsroom. Finally an end to a horrific story. Special shoutout to @cassiezervos for breaking the news. @__samfreeman @mikeoz7 @7newsmelbourne ❤️ taken in Thologolong by @jacstanley7

A Melbourne man has been charged over allegedly being an ISIS member, transmitting extremely violent content and possessing extremist material. The Australian Federal Police allege he was recruiting for the terrorist organisation and sharing instructional guides on conducting attacks, with 10,000 files containing executions, torture and propaganda found on his devices. The investigation began six years ago following a tip-off from the Australian Border Force when extremist material was allegedly discovered on his phone during a 2020 flight to Egypt. #ISIS #terrorism #AustralianFederalPolice by @jacstanley7
