May 01st 2024 my friend Christian K. Lanear was taken from the world to be with God. Christian was someone who made the biggest impact on each & every person he knew. I graduated in 2022 & Christian pushed me to get there & become a better person. I did not intend to speak past my story but this week made me see how much I needed to because I know he would have & It is okay if you feel any other way. It did not matter how long you knew him or talked to him he was always happy to make a new friend! No matter what I did or who I loved or if I had a good or a bad day.. Chris listened, joked, and cared. I have a text from him telling me,”Don’t let them make you stop doing what you’re doing.” I never did. I am still at a loss of words to explain this feeling but I know that I love & cherish every moment I got to spend with him before I left for college. My last stop before I left he told me to go & never look back. So I wanted to tell him thank you. Thank you for spreading courage, kindness, love, and strength. I hope each person leads their life with the values & morals you carried with you each day. Thank you for being a leader and an even better friend. Thank you for showing me kindness so that I was able to change the person I was back then & become a better version of myself. I will love like you,laugh as much as you did, & I will never take another day in this life for granted. If my kids ask me what kindness is I will tell them about you. If they ask me what being funny is I’ll show them videos of you. If they ask how to be themselves because they are lost in this world I will tell them about you. I will miss & love you everyday. Please never ever forget to be kind. Never forget to tell a person how much you love them. Forgive everyone. Never hold a grudge. have fun. Appreciate the little things.
