Thank you @tamu. This milestone of graduating means so much to me.

It would be silly for me to write something short and sweet in fear of embarrassment for having a long caption. But this milestone of graduating means so much more than you could know. For those that might’ve not known, my time at A&M, specifically the last 2 have been incredibly hard—after my first year here, i found out that my step mom and dad took out a hefty student loan that was also tied to my name without my knowledge or consent. After confronting them about the fraud and mainly the whereabouts of thousands of dollars that was refunded to them, and why I was about to get dropped from my summer classes for nonpayment, they ghosted me and that meant any bills they were covering (tuition and rent). So now, I was full time student working over full time hours to cover tuition and rent on top of car and insurance I was already covering. (shoutout food stamps and CSL plasma, ily 💌)It’s weird to try and tell this story in a quick fashion because it has been my reality for a bit, and no doubt these years were the hardest of my life financially & emotionally, but I am here to express how much this milestone of graduating means to me because of it. My faith in Christ has never been stronger, and these last few years are probably going to be the biggest testament to His provision, grace, and goodness that I’ll ever have in my life. To my friends, thank you for being such a rock for me during this time whether you knew it or not. The friendships I made and the amazing people I’ve met along the way is what makes me look back with so much joy and gratitude—is what makes leaving this place so hard. Thank you @tamu for giving me such a community of love and support. See you in Austin 💌
