But I finally got sewed up, set a time and I showed up, and now the weight of the world ain’t that bad

Two days ago was supposed to be my second wedding anniversary. But life doesn’t always work out the way you planned- and I’m so beyond thankful that I have a friend who I can say “Hey I had this trip already planned and I don’t want to do it alone” and she’ll make the time to go with me. She’ll put up with my incessant yapping, be in a car for 16+ hours over the course of 3 days and climb a mountain with me. All so that I didn’t have to face the world alone.

The past few years have been tough but I feel like the universe is shifting for me. And I’m so glad I have you on my side for it.

So Noah might say that “love is fast asleep on a dirt road with your head on my shoulder” but I think love is driving in a gentle rain through an orange autumn Adirondack forest while singing along to No Complaints while you’re bundled in a blanket softly snoring next to me, in the passenger seat. 🤍🍂✨ by @jade_russo_
