![“into the light, together”- [Triptych 3]
And that’s the last of the Triptychs (good things come in 3s amirite)! Wanted this one to look more like the manga panels with the separation, and I’m hoping it conveys the characters’ overcoming of hesitation and fear throughout the story. I could write a whole essay but literally no one asked HAHAHA fun fact, we’re standing facing away in the first panel, but you interpret who you want as the open hand :3

I’m ngl yall this idea was the one I was most excited to execute after @magicmacaroni14 made Hikaru’s sternum (doesn’t it look so cool??)- both the horror and beauty in the act of making oneself vulnerable (but who is the one made weak?) :)

Can’t believe The Summer Hikaru Died is finally over after 5 years 🥹 no spoilers ofc, but personally I loved the ending!! This post starts a series of companion pieces featuring @magicmacaroni14 (Yoshiki) and I (Hikaru) that’ll be posted over the new week or so.
I was really happy to exercise my editing chops more to try and convey several different vibes, so we hope you enjoy!!
