I don’t want another year where I’ve worked loads and barely been anywhere. Kraków is booked for this month. More little breaks, more days out and a bit more life around the work. That’s where my head’s at today because life is too short 🧡 by @jaderees_
These are the bits I was hoping someone would capture 🫶🏼 The laughs, the conversations and people getting to know someone they might never have crossed paths with otherwise. Bringing business owners and creatives together here in Swansea is such a lovely part of building MPM, and seeing you all getting involved means a lot. IN THE ROOM is one way those introductions happen. Through the MPM Creative Network, I also bring people and their skills together for brand shoots, campaigns and creative projects across South Wales. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the evening what it was. And to @cieranlockley.photography for capturing these moments 🤍 Who did you get chatting to that you’re glad you met? #MissingPieceMedia #InTheRoom #SwanseaNetworking #SouthWalesBusiness #CreativeNetwork by @jaderees_
The busier I get, the more I find myself thinking about this room, because it was incredible. A hot tub, that view and absolutely nowhere I needed to be. Could definitely quite happily make a habit of it. For a couple where one likes a good view and the other needs the sea, but both need nobody around, it ticked ALL the boxes. There’s a stigma in my relationship when it comes to hotel rooms that I’m a bit of a snob (isn’t there @sweetland.corey ) but I 100% didn’t hear him complaining about this one! More like this please drive! 🥂 #UKStaycation #BoutiqueHotels #LuxuryGetaways #TravelInspiration #WalesTravel by @jaderees_
Hosting an event is basically weeks of planning, three hours of talking to everyone and then two days trying to remember every sentence you said. A lot of people have said to me that they don’t like hosting events.. Would do it again? Already got 3.0 in the pipeline. Minus the red carpet that I fell over at the beginning of this video 🫠😆 #EventPlanning #EntrepreneurLife #BehindTheScenes #SmallBusinessOwner #EventHighlights by @jaderees_
Behind every woman with another ambitious business idea is a group of people wondering what the fuck she’s roped them into this time.. Love this lot 🤣🫶 📸 @theguesteditorialuk by @jaderees_
Your friends can support what you do, but there are people outside your circle who could need it, recommend it or want to build something with you. That’s why I’m bringing everyone together tomorrow. IN THE ROOM is a creative and business networking evening at @swansea.alberthall , open to creatives, self-employed people, independent brands, charities and organisations of every size. Whether you’re a photographer looking for brands to work with, a business owner needing content, a charity wanting to make local connections or someone just getting started, you’re invited. Expect short talks from people building businesses and community projects, introductions to help get conversations started, local businesses to discover and time to chat properly. You could meet your next content team, collaborator or someone who introduces you to an opportunity you hadn’t considered. Come alone or bring a friend. You don’t need a big following, an established business or a polished pitch. Tomorrow, Saturday 24th October Swansea Albert Hall · 6:30–9pm There’s still time to join us. Book through the link in our bio. #SwanseaEvents #SwanseaBusiness #SouthWalesCreatives #BusinessNetworking #InTheRoom by @jaderees_
Feeling very grateful today. Thank you to everyone who came to IN THE ROOM last night. Seeing people turn up, support each other and get chatting about the things they love and could collaborate with eachother for made all the organising worth it. MPM is still so new, so having you all there really did mean a lot to me. This photo from @theguesteditorialuk made me smile — and gives you a first look at the first edition MPM “create louder” hoodies, printed in house by our favourite @david_sostradingco, which had their first outing last night! What do you think of them? Would you wear one? 🫶🏼 📸 @theguesteditorialuk @byrebeccarandall Unsuspecting model: @sweetland.corey #MissingPieceMedia #CreateLouder #InTheRoom #SwanseaCreatives #SouthWalesBusiness by @jaderees_
TEN YEARS BEHIND THE CHAIR. And I definitely didn’t think I’d still be finding new directions to take Edition One in a decade later. What started with mobile barbering in 2016 has turned into two shops, thousands of haircuts, some brilliant people through the doors and a whole lot of lessons along the way. I’ve had barbers come and go, watched some go on to build their own businesses, raised money for causes close to home and somehow managed to have two more babies in amongst it all. More recently, I’ve taken my skills into men’s hair replacement, and that’s opened up a whole new side of the industry for me. Having to leave the shop after seven years because of ongoing disrepair wasn’t part of the plan, but I’ve learned that running a business doesn’t always mean doing the same thing forever. Sometimes you’ve got to change direction. I’m still cutting hair, but ten years in, I’m also looking at what else I can do with everything I’ve learned. Education, training, collaborations, judging and a few new ideas I’m working on behind the scenes. Edition One isn’t finished. It’s just changing. And there’s plenty more in the tank yet. #EditionOneBarbershop #BarberEducation #SouthWalesBarber #MensHairSystems #BarberIndustry by @jaderees_
I’ve never really been one for networking events.. & obviously on that note, I’m now organising my second one this weekend at @swansea.alberthall 😂 Working on shoots and meeting so many different people over the last few months has made me realise how many people could benefit from collaboration and a new age shake up for Swansea’s creatives! So this Saturday I’m bringing some of them together at Albert Hall in Swansea for IN THE ROOM. Turns out I quite enjoy being social after all. Who knew!? 👕 @sostradingco 📸 @om3lio 🎬 @missingpiece_media #SwanseaEvents #SouthWalesEvents #AlbertHallSwansea #BehindTheScenes #CreativeLife by @jaderees_
My skincare routine has one main requirement: Still be willing to do it when I absolutely can’t be bothered 😂 Sometimes it’s just the little things that make life easier, and Simple cleansing wipes have been one of mine for years. Very much a keep-it-simple kind of girl 💚 Proud to be part of the @simpleskin Simple Squad! #AD #SimpleSquadUK #SimpleSkincare #EasySkincare #SkincareRoutine by @jaderees_
