I thought I’d introduce myself 👋🏽

I have been obsessed with the art of becoming better and creating the happiest life possible for as long as I can remember.

When I was 15 I had to quit gymnastics, which was my whole life at the time, and it sent me into a downward spiral 🌀

I read all the personal development books, listened to all the podcasts and watched all the videos but it was only through truly understanding how our brain is wired, learning how to rewire it, and actually DOING it, that I was able to completely turn my life around into something I’m excited to wake up for every morning.

It’s been my mission ever since to help you go from just surviving to happy and thriving and create the life you know you’re capable of living.

Unfuck my brain with me (part 1)

I have fallen victim again to brain rot. I’ve been feeling unmotivated, uninspired, addicted to scrolling etc etc.

So I’m taking back control and I’m on a mission to unfuck my brain.

Step 1 is drastically reducing my scrolling. One way I’m gonna make this easier on myself is creating a hobbies basket filled with things I can do instead of scrolling.

You brain is obsessed with prediction and it thinks it bloody knows every fkn thing.
So if it starts predicting that you are helpless and don’t have control over your situation, then you’ll stop trying to find evidence of the contrary.

I’m suffering from perfectionism paralysis at the moment so I’ll be posting the most imperfect and possibly rogue stuff for the foreseeable future until my inner perfectionist chills tf out a bit.

I was scrolling a looootttt today for “inspiration” but with each new video, I actually felt the creativity draining from my body.

So eventually I thought fuck it, put some music on and randomly found my old ripstik.
Suddenly I felt inspired and playful again.

There’s actually some neuroscience behind this.
Scrolling keeps your attention networks externally focused and constantly consuming and reacting to new stimuli, which leaves less room for your default mode network to wander and make novel connections. Put your phone down and do something playful and childlike and you give your brain the space for divergent thinking and creativity to actually switch back on.

If you’re in the same boat and keep finding yourself stuck in a scroll hole with no new ideas or feelings of inspiration, try getting outside and doing something super novel instead

THE FINAL DAY!! 60/60!!

What a blast these last few months have been. I am profoundly proud of how far I’ve come in the last couple of months. From the depths of despair to getting in the best shape of my life, growing an Instagram account to over 15 thousand followers and making a few dollars along the way!!
I may not have completely hit all the goals I set, but the momentum I have built is insane and I know it’s only a matter of time before I hit the goals and beyond.
Thank you to every single person who has followed me along on the journey and I can’t wait to show you what my next chapter looks like 🤭 by @jaderewired
