Appreciation post for my funny, lovable, sweet Fiancé. I love you more than words, I never thought I'd feel so at home with someone until I met you. Grief is just love with nowhere left to go. It comes in waves, somedays I smile and think fondly of watching nature documentaries and having early morning coffees with you staring at Great Slave lake together out the apartment window. Somedays are harder than others and I think about how you'd do anything to make me smile, make a funny joke, slip me money, make me a meal I wanted, even take a picture with Elvis with auntie just because I asked when you were in Vegas. I think about all the trips we took together as a family, how proud you were to teach me to fish, proud of me that I learned rabbit traps, and proud of me to graduate. I remember the first phone call when I moved away: you told me it was too quiet without me laughing and singing throughout the house. I will smile everytime I see a squirrel for the rest of my life and hope that its you reminding me to remember nature and to live in the moment. You brought me peace and a gentle quiet love that I needed in some of the harder parts in my life. I will love you forever and ever and then some.❤️ I hope youre somewhere where theres good fishing, blue skies, and quiet (definitely wouldnt be with me because youd have to tell me to shut up when we fished). by @jadethemagicdragon

Happy early 27th birthday to the true love of my life, the man who made me a fiancé and a mom and made good on his promise to change things for me ❤️ My silly, hilarious, handsome, over-protective, kind and calming man. The first time we finally re-met was love at first sight- the snow falling felt like a snow globe and the giant smiles we had on our faces. You make me laugh everyday and remind me life is really not that serious and you're never boring thats for sure.... be it singing Lynyrd Skynyrd or dancing to 70's disco, doing push ups and pull ups at 1 am, teasing me until you piss me off, picking me up randomly and bodyslamming me into the bed or smacking my butt unrelentlessly😆 You're also the most supportive partner and dad you could be, when I'm so sore from work and throwing up from the baby, just sitting behind me reminding me to just breathe then tucking me into bed with a massage and a forehead kiss. I've never met someone like you and I'm so grateful we found eachother in this lifetime. I could just get lost in your stormy blue eyes the rest of my life, make so many more inside jokes we practically speak our own language, watch your big hands envelop mine and sleep back to back with you night after night. Youve brought the simple pleasures back into my life by just teaching me to live in the moment with you. I can't wait to see where our journey takes us.
