Volunteer Spotlight: Arica Okifo ’15 (CLAS)

Since 2023, Arica has been an incredible force for UConn Nation in Los Angeles! From leading game watches in Central LA to creating fun and engaging social media content, her dedication shines through.

Most recently, Arica played a key role in making the Women’s Basketball Pregame Reception on Dec. 13 a huge success. She secured the venue, initiated planning, and even shared ticket links to ensure Huskies fans could join the excitement. Thanks to her efforts, the event was welcoming, spirited, and set the perfect tone for game day!

Thank you, Arica, for your creativity, leadership, and commitment to bringing UConn Alumni together on the West Coast. We’re lucky to have you in the Husky family! by @jadorearicaa

One year married 🥰 what a roller coaster it’s been. This year had been fun. I learned a lot. Marriage takes work! Wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else. Thank you for marrying my crazy, anxious, crabby in the mornings, dramatic, obsessed with disney-JoBros-bravo-NFL, bossy, self.

Thank you to everyone who had been on this journey with us. by @jadorearicaa
