Lifting Lashes Under Hooded Lids

Tackling a lash lift under hooded lids or monolids is all about knowing how to work with these unique features. If I can give you one piece of information that will improve how you approach clients with these physical traits, here it is:

Choose the right shield shape & size.

The skin on hooded lids tend to rest on top of the natural lashes, pushing them downward. Because of this, I prefer to use *barrel* silicone shields to create distance between the base of lashes and the lids so that the lashes can then lift in front of the skin.

The standard flat silicone shields can sometimes mould too tight and in turn, the skin from the lids will weigh the lashes downward, counteracting the lift. If you still opt for the standard shield, use a larger silicone size with a thicker base to provide that space allowance for the skin. Ensure that the lashes are still long enough achieve a proper curl.

Classic VS. Wet 💧

The CLASSIC set is as its namesake, a classic. It is the application of one extension per natural lash. This 1:1 ratio allows us to enhance your natural lashes for a refreshed and refined look

The WET set is a new hybrid trend that allows for a fuller and denser look without the added weight of heavier extensions. Instead, we apply spikes of the thin extensions to each natural lash, which gives the “wet” lash effect, hence the root of the technique’s name.

Personally, I’m absolutely loving the wet lash trend lately! It the perfect in-between.
