The kid I had at 17 in Chicago turned 21 this summer and just stepped into his Senior year of college at Xavier University of Louisiana as a Bio Pre-Med student. He graduates next year with The CENTENNIAL Class of 2025 (that’s a 100 years). I won’t even be 40 years old at the time. His name will end up in a library in a history book somewhere and for all the right reasons. Next stop is medical school. I had him young at 17 but I kept my soul intact and GOD first. Yea that’s it, that’s the caption!

It’s shortly after midnight on July 9th, 2024. With it only being 9 days into the month so far I’ve seen my therapist twice and my psychiatrist once. I caught a flat tire and had one of my bank accounts frozen. I woke up with about 12 bucks in my Louis bag and my son’s flight out of Houston has been canceled a million times due to the hurricane. In conjunction with all of that, today is his 21st birthday.
Moving along…. On or by July 14th he has to be fiscally cleared for fall semester of school. It’s been that date the past 3 years and now this is our 4th year. My birthday is on July 15th so it’s never any fun dropping that bag on tuition the day before. Then dealing with the evil stunt my trifling daddy pulled, with my car and so more stuff. BUT somehow in the mist of all the chaos. I am the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. Now, Usually when things fall apart and folks get to acting crazy, I turn into the Tasmanian Devil and start acting crazy right back with em. However these days my happiness and peace won’t allow me. I’ve never felt this much joy in my life. I’ve been single for years and I freaking love it here. I got 99 problems but a man ain’t one, thank you Jesus! I’m happy because I did the work. My doctor told me to put my own mask on first. So I did. Now this don’t mean I’m letting sh*t slide, I’m definitely gone spin the block just not today. I’m happy as fu*k! And also this is not a happy birthday post to my son or myself. Just some reflecting and sharing. Y’all better go talk to “The Lady” post. by @jadrienne

Story time…. #Part1

Grab a blanket and put 10g of strong in a Raw cone. R.I.P. Dolph. Now let me tell you all about how my dad tried to SCREW me over. For legalities I can’t go super detailed but, I’ll try to explain this wild sh** the best I can. When I say my life has truly been like an episode of #Power I mean it. Being as of lately I’ve been away and sequestered knocking out some personal journey goals. Taking on new responsibilities which I’m all very grateful of. Some are more difficult than others but I’m handling it. My son is accomplishing so many great things as a Pre-Med student and it is such a joy to witness. It’s definitely giving super smart Tariq in college but without the drugs and unaliving of folks( well there kinda is some attempting of unaliving I think but I’ll get to that in a sec, chill I’m finna explain) And yea I might have some Tasha in me but who the f**k going to the FEDS, not me! Not I. His circle of friends are some pretty cool kids from affiliate backgrounds. They’re not The Weston’s but that’s cool cause I don’t have the money Ghost had either. My money just Ghosted me and went to that good a** school my son attends. by @jadrienne
