a painting i did when i was in the first semester of college (about to begin the third in a couple of weeks so may be busy) for my color theory / painting class, the professor told us to pick a famous painting to redo and i choose this one (last slide) by claude monet it was beautiful, mesmerizing, and so good to look at and imagine being there.

i think my version is good tbh but i could've done much more now that i look at it (he gave me a 75/100 🥲) it was my first time ever picking up a brush and painting anything so i was so new.

but i love painting so much (even tho i've only done some) its such a beautiful type of way to express feelings using colors and expressing thoughts using art, will definitely paint more in the future.

this is my study of claude monet's La Seine à Vétheuil (1881).

SISTERS OF THE COVEN

Two sisters, one shadow and a shared power. Dark mysticism, ornamental details and ritual-like typography create the feeling of an old witch coven. I wanted the poster to feel mysterious, haunting and almost like an occult album cover.
