Commissions!

Prices are all the same but I wanted to update some stuff. I now offer two more types of artwork. Clients now have the option to request a painterly style for a fee of +25% of the commission total.

I’m also now offering Sets! Sets are literally sets of cohesive artwork of the same characters. There isn’t much background detail, there’s heavy focus on the characters, and the color palette remains similar so that the tone and the mood is the same across each drawing. Up to two characters, they can be visible as busts, half body, full body, or a mixture of the three. Maximum of 3 drawings per Set. It’s like a “buy 1 or 2, get another at a discount.”

SPOILERS! (sorta)

When patch6 released for Baldur’s Gate 3, a bunch of kiss variations also released for each companion. This means that “last kiss” variations also happen if you have your romanced companion with you before the final point of no return.
Because I’m absolute ✨trash✨ for Gale, and because the “last kiss” with him is passionate and beautiful, I naturally had to draw it because what else would I do with that kind of inspiration.

So here’s Gale and my Tav, Zaelis, sharing one potentially final, dramatic, passionate kiss before fighting for the lives of everyone in Baldur’s Gate.

Fanfic!Sylus here. I know people don’t like the idea of him smoking but I don’t care. He smokes in my fanfic. The man needs a vice so I gave him one. I really wanted to lean in to the mafia boss look and ended up giving him ink and a bit of a different haircut. The fade was absolutely inspired by Valko, who I’m boycotting LADS for. I miss Sylus but I want the wolf.

I know it’s unpopular but my headcanon is that Sylus smokes. He’s basically a mafia boss, so the man needs a goddamn vice and to me, this is a good one. 😂
Smoker Sylus is a thing in my fanfic anyway. Shit like this will have to hold me over until my beloved Valko is finally released as intended. I miss Sylus 😭

Yes, I’m fighting like hell for a fictional character. Love and Deepspace has been such a boon to my mental health as of late. It gave me my creative fire back, which I haven’t seen in almost a year. I’m drawing. I’m writing. I finally feel like myself again. I’ll be damned if I’m gonna just sit by while the rest of the fandom fights for Valko.

Infold, if you see this, please understand what your players are telling you. We want what you promised us. We want what you made us love before we even had it. We want the wolf just as he is and for what he was intended to be: our sixth.

Let’s be honest. If Valko doesn’t come back, the game is over. Trust will be irreparable. It will set a precedent that no content, no matter how loved, is safe. Players will uninstall and never look back. People have already started signing up with the competition just in case.

Bring him back.

I haven’t posted in months, but there’s a reason. Not only did I have to deal with another deployment, but I also had to deal with the death of my dog. Koga was a regular fixture in my life. His entire existence is what kept me alive, literally. He was so sweet and stupid and funny, and life without him the last few weeks has been cold and lonely. My husband was deployed when Koga died, and in a way I’m glad he wasn’t here because I don’t know if he would have been able to get the image of our dog wobbling to me at the vet despite being in extreme pain but still wanting to comfort me. It was traumatic and terrifying for us both.

I’ve had very, very little interest in drawing. Or writing. Or doing much of anything that doesn’t distract me and lift me out of reality for a little bit. It’s been hard to function because Koga was my ESA. He relied on me and that made me rely on him. The sick irony of the situation is that if I had Koga with me to help me grieve, I’d probably be dealing with this loss in a much healthier way that didn’t involve me barely taking care of myself.

I miss Koga, and my grief tells me I’m not ready for another dog. But my depression and my inability to function as a human being tells me that the only way I won’t drown is if I get another dog. Even my psychiatrist heavily recommended it. So, that’s what I’m going to do. I know this new dog will give me a purpose. This new dog is the light at the end of this very dark, cold tunnel.

I have a puppy that I’ve chosen and will be getting her in the next few days. She’s a Shiba Inu puppy. She’s funny and has so much personality. And I’m naming her Maelle, after the character in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, because of how much the game symbolizes, especially in the wake of Koga’s death. After he died, I played the game again. It brought even more of an emotional attachment to the message of the game, so this new dog will be linked to Koga in a way that I think only this game could have done.

I haven’t posted in about six months for reasons, but I have something now! Drawing has been hard lately and life has sucked. But then I played this game that both hurt me and inspired me all at once. This is a SPOILER so beware. This is fan art of one of the endings for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. If you don’t want things spoiled for you, feel free to scroll past. Spoilers also in captions below. You’ve been warned!

Some people say this is the bad ending. I disagree. I’ve dealt with heavy loss and grief, and I absolutely understand why Maelle made the choice she made. I’d say this ending is the unhealthy one or the unhealed one. While the creations inside Verso’s Canvas are not real, the people are real to each other. They lived their own lives, made friends, fell in love, and lost countless people year after year during the Gommage. Honestly, it hurt during that final choice. My instinct was to fight as Verso because he’s the main character in my head, and he deserves to have his own life despite having been Painted. But I had a feeling he wouldn’t accept it, so I went with Maelle’s ending first.

Despite what A Life To Paint does to Maelle long term, the people in her life are “okay” for the most part. Verso unfortunately knows things aren’t quite right. Maelle can’t keep a genuine smile on her face. But both of them are too close to the truth.

I might have to write some fanfiction where Verso is actually happy and thriving.
