Well as we wind down #memademay I have funished quite a few things recently and May post in June (see what I did there?), but I had to post this - my first quilt, #fatquartermixerquilt, using a wonderful fat quarter pack I picked up on a whim at @newpiecesquiltshop. Deep respect to my friends who are dedicated quilters! Lots of learning and truly took a village. Quilted by Quilts by Ma in Fremont (she’s terrific). I have another, linger running, quilt that gets worked on FTTT, but this is the first completed. Tume to crawl under for a nap by @jae5012000

Just wow. I’ve always wanted to see a white-lined sphinx moth and here it was in my yard this evening at the end of a very long day. So i present this gorgeous creature with a plea — please don’t kill tomato hornworms. Those are their caterpillars. I often keep a sacrificial tomato plant that i can move them to. Same with sharing blueberries with the birds and apples with the squirrels. Maybe there’s enough for all of us to share? These moths are important pollinators #keepitwild #shareandsharealike #naturenotpesticides by @jae5012000

Au revoir to our winter guest. This lady was born early December and wasn’t to be a flyer. So she took up residence spending days on plants and enjoying (hopefully) the weather and just hanging. Feel free to plant some milkweed in her honor🫶🏽 #monarchbutterfly by @jae5012000

No wonder this jar is at the thrift store. Nowadays you fill it up and you’d be lucky to get to the county line - with your tent & sleeping bag. #daretodream #vacation by @jae5012000

So as I close out my #wfhfriday sharing my contract writing companion. This girl sadly lost a wing after eclosing so never fledged. So we’ve been hanging out with her for weeks now. Fun fact the late season monarchs are the overwintering ones and can live 2 months or more rather than they typical 2-4 weeks. So lots of sun time, regular feedings and occasional computer/shoulder hangs. #monarchbutterfly by @jae5012000

Wowowow! Grateful. 2 nights @castateparks #steepravinecabins. Not gonna lie it poured rain all day today so hiking plans dashed. However we got to share the road during a brief let-up with this randy one, had a beautiful sunset on our arrival, and embraced watching waves, pelicans, and hummingbirds. #supportcastateparks @calparks taken in Steep Ravine Cabins by @jae5012000

Just leaving this here. I hope it comes advantageously in your feed - to temper info about rampant evil, or reinforce shared joy and goodness - or simply a break between snaps of cats. Went to a memorial today for a man who was a teue fighter for humanity - a good reminder. by @jae5012000

Reaching into the stash and pulling out a Plumb! This @ladymcelroyfabrics called #epicspectacle has been staring back at me for years since I purchased from @fabricgodmother. Could find the right pattern - finally found this old #butterick 4575 (no not the pirate!). Provided plenty of real estate for this fabric to come out and play! #bayareasewists by @jae5012000
