I thought about not posting this… but when God makes a way, you have to share it. My testimony is living proof that He’s the real deal 🙌🏽

Let me tell you just one part of my story✨

Back in 2023, I finished all my prerequisites. I went to my mentor and said, “I took the HESI, everything’s done. Now I’m just waiting to get into the nursing program.”

She looked at me and said, “You’re missing one step.” I was confused. What step? My major already said nursing. But she explained I had to register for the actual program. It’s a ballot system, and the school only accepts a limited number of students.

Then she said something that made my heart drop: “The deadline is already over.”

Still, my mentor didn’t give up. She reached out to the nursing office, and even though they said the application window had closed, she told me, “I’ll complete your application and send it to the department. I’m hoping they’ll at least put you on the ballot. Even if you don’t get in for this term because the timing is so close, let’s just see what the system says.”

There was a small fee, maybe $100 or less, but I didn’t have it at the time. She said, “It’s okay, I’ll waive it for you.” That’s when I knew God was already moving behind the scenes.

At that point, I thought I missed my chance for the upcoming term. So I enrolled in a CNA and PCT class, determined to keep going, keep learning, and at least start working while waiting for the next opportunity. I was focused and ready for whatever door God opened next.

Then, just one week before that same term started, the one I was sure I missed, my mentor called me and said, “Congratulations, Jade!”
I said, “For what?! 😭” She told me to check my email.

She wanted to go to school for free... and she did. Big shoutout to this uniform and to the leaders who believed in me 🥳🤭 y’all really made a way.

These past few years taught me resilience, patience, humility, and that Plan B isn’t failure🙌🏾sometimes it’s just God’s redirection. No blueprint, no financial support from parents, just me, God, and a whole lot of growth. Through every mistake, every delay, every “is this even worth it?” moment… I kept pushing.

And now? She’s a Logistician in the U.S. Army and a whole Nurse. Two titles, one woman, all hustle. I didn’t take the easy road 😊 I took the one with the most character development.

And for the record, no, I didn’t join ROTC because I wanted to be called ✨Sergeant✨ and do big dawg sh*t🤣🙌🏾 but here we are! It’ll change eventually, but I’m gonna enjoy the title while I’ve got it😌
