Do you ever get a little bit too much into D&D, but you haven’t got time to make the full outfits, so you do a band au.

Yeah me and @jaeger_project did this lastyear at Toko, and alas this hyperfixation hasn’t gone anywhere 🫠

Really proud of the wigs. The curls and short hair was a challenge but it came out wicked and Lauren looked like a true aura farmer 💪

(for anyone interested I play a divination wizard (Aurelion) and Lauren is our untrustworthy mastermind rogue (Locke) 💚💛)

MCM weekend dumpy!! It was all about THEM!! And also a lot of sweat 💦

And it was also about all the friends we made along the way 🥺 catching up with @astral_locke on Friday ❤️ Spending Saturday with @maraholmes_ was an absolute treat I’m sorry for the D&D trauma dumping session but maybe we can all play women owned D&D together one day to make up for it LMAO

Meeting @lamaery_in_the_cosmere while hovering outside the @dragonsteelbooks stand was an unexpected highlight of the weekend and I think we’re still shellshocked and fangirling from it 🫨🫨🫨

Saturday was like hella packed back to back going from the Brando panel straight into the masq and then watching Crown with the girlies and right into making Tiktoks with @zaiichiik and @suncosplays 🥹 I wish we had prepared more because I gen could have done that all night 😭 it was so much fun!!!

@_agi_cosplay and @cosplex and @violetkestral always being so kind to us and letting us crash cosplay central despite being rushed off your feet and running a hella tight ship 😭🙏 thank you for letting us in your masquerade!! Through that we got to catch up with @nerdsgonemildcosplay, @furanocosplay and @kerberos.cosplay and unfortunately I was filled with so much inspiration from their incredible aspirational builds I’m scared I might want to make another cosplay now 😫😫😫

There were more pictures I didn’t take than ones I did, and I have scraped the barrel of everyone else’s camera roll to make this carousel…. There were too many standout moments for one girl to capture when holding a 5ft sword in one hand and a tinny in the other. Just know if we talked to you about building the BT Tower on our Minecraft server I am sorry but the invitation to join is still open.

This is why I leave Katie to make posts because she doesn’t write straight up essays in the caption…. And why I only post once every few cycles of the sun… oops…. Do I have to do hashtags now??

We finished our costumes!! And what a weekend to wear them 🥲 Meeting so many Cosmere fans, hanging with the amazing @lizah_aart in the @dragonsteelbooks queue, Brandon Sanderson’s panel, entering (AND WINNING A JUDGES CHOICE AWARD) at the Masquerade, artist alley poppin… just a fantastic time 🥰

Shardblade? Completed it mate.

Im so happy it worked. Trusting the process I could make the crystals clear at the ends, but we only went and done did it! So excited for Brando Sando to see it tomorrow 🥰

How I done did it:
- masking taped the crystals during priming and painting
- sanded the ‘ledge’ of spray paint created
- applied a gradient of spray paint to smooth the transition
- airbrushed the crystals to create the full effect

The epaulettes were an unexpectedly important detail that were designed and crafted in the last few days so it’s a big relief that they turned out as nice as they did…. Don’t recommend anyone leave crafting portrait-level details to the last minute, though….

The realisation if we fucked these up that they would be in every single photo 😳😳

I was back on my bs with the metal parts. Everything modelled in blender, resin printed, sanded, moulded with rebound25, coldcast with smoothcast300, sanded, weathered, primed and sewn on 🫩
