*LIVE ACOUSTIC*
“Be the Same” by Jaé MeDi. An original song from the album *Be Who You Are* written, composed, and engineered by Justin Medina-Dining 👁️👁️

I wrote this song about the beach. Because as much as I love the ocean breeze, it would be foolish and possessive of me to think I could have it all for myself 🌊 🏖️
Do any lyrics from this song stand out? Why? Let me know in the comments

A cover by Jaé MeDi.
“Feel No Ways” originally by Drake @champagnepapi

I think we’ve all had relationships that hold us back from our full potential. It’s very hard to leave when you’re still in love. Especially when technically you’re already broken up and the one you loved keeps grabbing your attention while holding you at a distance. This track reminds me that relationships come with politics. The love you shared with someone can easily become a weapon. But that’s just my interpretation, what do you think the message of this song is?

Who’s ready for Open Mic tomorrow? #tuesday #openmic #temecula #events #openmictemecula by @jaemedi

Story Behind the Songs, Episode 1: Summer ☀️
The song Summer is inspired by 2 sayings that echo in my head very often.
1. It’s better to have loved than to have never loved at all.
&
2. People are in your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
Those sayings occurred to me on a rainy night as I was struggling with a romance that I couldn’t let go of. It was as if love was seasonal and saying goodbye wasn’t my choice, but a cycle to expect, just like the summer comes and goes. I was in the backseat of my car with a guitar processing these feelings of acceptance and denial. The song started with the main riff. After that, I freestyled some lyrics based on the idea where this relationship could last forever. If you listen closely, you can hear the rain hitting the roof of my truck in the recording.

What other songs would you like to hear the backstory for? Please let me know in the comments 💬

Almost 11 years ago. The year is 2016

I was 13 years old in this video. It’s my Granpa recording me. The song is called “a-team” by Ed Sheeran for those who don’t know.

This was before I knew how to play the guitar. I still remember how nervous I was and the British accent I used to introduce myself to calm the nerves and give the crowd a laugh 🇬🇧

Some of the people watching this video might remember that young man. I wanna thank my lifelong friends and supporters who encourage me to fulfill my mission .

Music has been my passion ever since I could form thoughts. While I haven’t reached the jackpot, things like these remind me of family, friends, and memories I will cherish as long as I’m alive.
