scotland has some of my favorite book-related places to go. like look how pretty. Toppings & Company Booksellers of Edinburgh is one of my favorites, so if you’re ever in Edinburgh, go visit! where’s your favorite bookstore located? 📚 ~ j — #booktok #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookstagrammer #booknerd #lightacademia #darkacademia #academia #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booksta #book #bookcommunity #bookish #read #reading #readingtime #readingallday #readingismagic #blogger #scotland #edinburgh #edinburghbookshop #toppingsandcompanybooksellers #bookstores #bookshop #uk #ukbooks by @jaesbooks
hello friends!! wanted to share this sign my friends and i found when we were exploring salzburg, austria (to the sound of music of course — ha ha ha) because it’s so true. anyways, i’m so behind on all life things since i’m working so much after coming back from europe. but i will be better i promise — on reading and posting 🙃! i have SOOOO many photos of libraries from my europe trip to be posted + reels to make + books to read + things to write so i will try to be on my grind in this last month of freedom i have before going back to school :) thanks for reading! ~ j — #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookstagrammer #booknerd #lightacademia #darkacademia #academia #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booksta #aesthetic #book #bookcommunity #bookaesthetic #bookaddict #bookish #bookishlove #bookishfeatures #bookishlife #read #reading #readingtime #readingallday #readingismagic #booksandcoffee #blogger #bookreviewer #booksandshares #booksandcandles by @jaesbooks
happy belated St. Paddy’s Day & Easter?? 🍀🐣🌷 I had the WORST reading slump these last two months. March + April was just so busy with work + life so I got behind on my Fable reading streak and then just let it die for a while 😓. Plus I was traveling and just got into running, so it’s harder to read when you’re on the go! But I think we’re back … and I’m reading my physical TBR again + sticking to library books again :) soooo wish my luck for May … This summer may also be a busy one! Anyways here’s my bi-monthly wrap: • best book of the month: “blue sisters” by Coco Mellors • worst book of the month: “the housemaid’s wedding” by Freida McFadden • slowest book of the month: “the girl on the train” by Paula Hawkins • fastest book of the month: “the deal” by Elle Kennedy ~j - #bookstagram #bookcommunity #aprilwrapup #marchwrapup readin by @jaesbooks
happy belated valentine’s day ! 💓 holy cow this year is flying by! February was over in the snap of a finger I swear. But somehow I still managed to read 10 books this month (woohoo!!) I credit it all to audiobooks bc idk how I ever lived my life without them. I am determined to not get in a slump bc my fable streak is on it. I didn’t read my physical TBR though like I was supposed to 😅. That’s a March problem I think. Anyways, here’s my monthly summary: • best book of the month: “if it makes you happy” • worst book of the month: “the housemaid’s secret” by Freida McFadden • slowest book of the month: “the break-up pact” emma lord • fastest book of the month: “bound” ali hazelwood ~j - #bookstagram #bookwrapup #bookcommunity #februarywrapup #readinggoals by @jaesbooks
happy new year all! ☺️ is it just me or did January feel superrrrr long?? My reading goal this year is 90 books!! Kind of nervous but I’m already off to a good start with 11. Though I do worry, because I feel like I’m entering a slump :/ I’m rewatching the Bridgerton series on Netflix right now because season 4 just came out, and it is making me want to finish the series (I only read the fist 2) so maybe that will pull me out of it (or at least give me hope!) • best book of the month: “james” Percival Everett • worst book of the month: “the christmas list” Maren Moore • slowest book of the month: “the burning god” RF Kuang • fastest book of the month: “the drowning faith” RF Kuang ~ j — #bookstagram #bookwrapup #bookcommunity #januarywrapup #readinggoals by @jaesbooks
happy new year everyone! 🎉 I’ve literally already read 4 books in 2026 … but I wanted to do my 2025 wrap-up because I was so proud of myself for reading 85 books!!! Woohoo!! The is the first full year I haven’t had school occupying my time so I’m really excited to stay into reading going forward. Some of my 2026 goals are: • reading 90 books (I’m scared!) 📚 • try to read for 1 hour everyday ⏰ • try to read outside / listen on a walk for 30 min everyday 🌳 • finishing all the assigned book club books 📕 • annotate 1 book every month ✍️ • read physical TBR (hoping to get 24-30 of these read!) 📖 • make mini books ✂️ • volunteer at a library! 🏠 Also I’m trying to writing creatively more (outside of my job), journal more and post more regularly on this account (and maybe start a booktok?? - tbd!) so wish me luck. Hope everyone had a great 2025! Wishing you all luck on your 2026 reading goals :) ~ j — #2025readingwrapup #readingwrapup #readingwrapped #2026readinggoals #2026goals by @jaesbooks
december wrap-up 🎄 happy new year everyone! The end of the year got sooo slow but hoping I’ll be back on it in january Audiobooks have fr been saving me, but these 2 novellas also saved me even if I didn’t love the first one. Regardless, my reading goal was 50 and I finished with 85!! Will post my end of year wrap/up next! best book of the month: “a separate peace” by John Knowles worst book of the month: “the mistletoe bet” Maren Moore slowest book of the month: “a separate peace” by John Knowles fastest book of the month: “a festive feud” by Maren Moore ~ j — #bookstagram #booksandshares #bookcommunity #decemberwrapup #readinggoals by @jaesbooks
november wrap-up 🦃 happy holidays everyone! holy cow I can’t believe I read 11 books this month. i am finally getting time to relax after being on vacation for the last few weeks, so I think that’s why I’ve been cranking the books out. A lot of these were half read and I finally got time to finish them all. But regardless, my reading goal was 50 and I’m up to 81!! That feels crazy. I’m lowkey hoping to get to 100 but I don’t want to burn out or fall into a slump by trying to rush on book reading and miss the plots. Excited to see my end of year wrap-up though! best book of the month: “the book thief” by markus zusak worst book of the month: “a touch of darkness” Scarlett St Clair slowest book of the month: “the invisible life of Addie larue” by VE Schwab fastest book of the month: “mate” by Ali hazelwood ~ j — #booktok #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookstagrammer #booknerd #darkacademia #academia #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booksta #aesthetic #book #bookcommunity #bookaesthetic #bookish #bookishlove #bookishfeatures #bookishlife #readingallday #readingismagic #cozy #blogger #bookreviewer #Booksandcoffee #booksandcandles #booksandshares #novemberwrapup #readingwrapup #readinggoals by @jaesbooks
october wrap-up! 🎃 i only read 5 books this month, but in my defense, I’ve been gone for like 90% of the month Over the last few weeks I went and did the fall road trip in New England, went to Disneyland for Halloween decor, went to Saint Helens to see the Halloweentown / Twilight settings, and celebrated my 23rd bday + my fav holiday (Halloween) woohoo! I’m honestly surprised I got through 5 books I think that’s impressive with how much I’ve had going on. best book of the month: “under one roof” by Ali hazelwood worst book of the month: “the boyfriend” by Freida McFadden slowest book of the month: “iron flame” by Rebecca yarros fastest book of the month: “the pumpkin spice cafe” by Laurie Gilmore ~ j — #booktok #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookstagrammer #booknerd #darkacademia #academia #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booksta #aesthetic #book #bookcommunity #bookaesthetic #bookish #bookishlove #bookishfeatures #bookishlife #readingallday #readingismagic #cozy #blogger #bookreviewer #Booksandcoffee #booksandcandles #booksandshares #octoberwrapup #october2025 #octoberwrapup2025 by @jaesbooks
September wrap-up! 🍂 another 10 down!! I was kind of surprised that I read this many books this month just because I’ve been so busy, but I think it’s just because audiobooks save my life. I can’t believe I never used to listen before, it makes my life so much easier! best book of the month: “problematic summer romance” by Ali hazelwood worst book of the month: “confess” by Colleen Hoover slowest book of the month: “the dragon republic” RF kuang fastest book of the month: “stuck with you” by Ali hazelwood ~ j — #booktok #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookstagrammer #booknerd #darkacademia #academia #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booksta #aesthetic #book #bookcommunity #bookaesthetic #bookish #bookishlove #bookishfeatures #bookishlife #readingallday #readingismagic #cozy #blogger #bookreviewer #Booksandcoffee #booksandcandles #booksandshares #septemberwrapup #september2025 #septemberwrapup2025 by @jaesbooks
august wrap-up! 🏖️ i read 5 books this month! This month was a little more progressive than last month! But I think listening to fourth wing will improve my reading slump - I love rereading books, it reminds me how good they are. best book of the month: “lessons in chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus worst book of the month: “god of war” by Rina Kent slowest book of the month: “atmosphere” by Taylor Jenkins-Reid fastest book of the month: “fourth wing” by Rebecca Yarros ~ j — #booktok #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookstagrammer #booknerd #darkacademia #academia #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booksta #aesthetic #book #bookcommunity #bookaesthetic #bookish #bookishlove #bookishfeatures #bookishlife #readingallday #readingismagic #cozy #blogger #bookreviewer #Booksandcoffee #booksandcandles #booksandshares #augustwrapup #august2025 #augustwrapup2025 by @jaesbooks
July wrap-up! 🎆 i only read 4 books this month, but not bad. I fell into a bit of a reading slump this month and just got super busy and tired with work. Plus I had some shows to catch up so reading was pushed to the side for a bit. best book of the month: “binding 13” by Chloe Walsh worst book of the month: “archer’s voice” by Mia Sheridan slowest book of the month: “gone girl” by Gillian Flynn fastest book of the month: “god of wrath” by Rina Kent ~ j — #booktok #bookstagram #books #booklover #bookstagrammer #booknerd #darkacademia #academia #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booksta #aesthetic #book #bookcommunity #bookaesthetic #bookish #bookishlove #bookishfeatures #bookishlife #readingallday #readingismagic #cozy #blogger #bookreviewer #Booksandcoffee #booksandcandles #booksandshares #julywrapup #july2025 #julywrapup2025 by @jaesbooks
