I’m excited to be facilitating a woodblock printing workshop this coming Friday, July 24th from 12-5 pm at the SF Art Book Fair! I hope you can swing by to make a print! Kids welcome!
@sfartbookfair @mspfoundation @sfartsed

About the workshop:
Join SF Bay Area artist and toy designer @jafiesjoiners Joe Ferriso for a woodblock printing workshop combining pattern, paint, and play! Visitors are encouraged to experiment with mark-making to create geometric patterns and design and build colorful and symbolic worlds on paper. Use Ferriso’s custom-made wood stamps and create your own print to take home. Then, make your mark on the wall, contributing to a collaborative installation that other SFABF visitors can enjoy all weekend!

I had a lot of fun making this giant painted wood @jafiesjoiners block for the upcoming “Art of Play” show @sebastopolarts The exhibition opens this Saturday, August 9th from 2-4pm. The block will be a stage for audience engagement with the smaller blocks. I’m excited to see what kids and people make of it. Unfortunately we are out of town for the opening but happy to meet up there when we are back. taken in Sebastopol Center for the Arts by @jafiesjoiners
