POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My memories of the Batu Caves - Malaysia 1985.
It has all changed so much since then, now everything has been re-painted in bright colours including the high steps to the top and is now a big tourist attraction.
There is also now a giant golden statue at the entrance.
Back then there were not many foreign tourists apart from myself and my family who were also there,, in fact the whole month I was there I only saw one other foreigner and I think he was Australian.
We were all staying at my friend’s family home and from that point till now, both our families have become close family friends and have always stayed in touch. ❤️

IT'S SPIDER SEASON 😱🕷️
So, can someone tell me what kind of horrible looking spider this is?
It crawled in the back door and sat on the wall while I was sitting there having a cup of coffee, it looked gross!

My platy fish are so messy, so today I gave the tank a full and thorough clean out.
Inside and out I gave everything a good scrubbing and refilled it with fresh clean water with nutrients that help to keep it cleaner for longer.
Not only does it look better but the fish always seem to be more happy swimming about.
I lost quite a few during the 5 heatwaves we had this summer due to the water getting too hot, even though I keep topping it up with cool water to lower the temperature.
But all the survivors are doing well. ❤️
They are quite tame and come to the front of the tank every time I come into the room, but I have my suspicions that they just think I'm going to feed them again, as they are quite greedy LOL 😂

Dinner tonight:
Sausages, hard boiled eggs, fresh crisp salad.
Dressed with yellow mustard and light fat reduced mayonnaise.
Slightly healthier, still delicious 😋 🤤 😁
