The online version of the Toronto Life article has more gorgeous photos of my Pyrex collection that I decided to create reel. There was so much more I wanted to say with photos of Pyrex and advertisements but I think every collector probably feels the same way. It was so wonderful to be included in their magazine so I am happy.

My friend, Alison and I are thrilled to have our article included in the latest issue of “All about Glass” published by the Museum of Glass in West Virginia. It is truly our glass geek moment, writing about something near and dear to our heart.

My friend found my interview with Toronto Life on TikTok so I thought I would share here as well. I honestly forgot about the video so I was surprised to see it show up 😂😂.

I had an unexpected day of fun thrifts last Thursday - I fell in love with the Sovereign Potters tableware immediately. The pattern is called Las Vegas and I am getting rid of other tableware so I can keep it. The Starburst clock needs some work but it is so awesome.

Playing along with #pyrexplus F for Fireking
The Pyrex mugs are in the centre - made at the Leaside plant ( Corning Glass works of Canada ) in the early 1950s.

It’s a little early for Xmas but I am not going to say no to Christmas ornaments in their original boxes at the thrift store 👀. I have not been to this thrift store for months so it was a pleasant surprise.

Hello October - time to close up the cottage and get back to city life 🧡 My little ESD / Lefton October witch was a thrift store find many years and he is part of my October display every year.

Vintage Halloween is really hard to find here but I did find a few items recently at the thrift stores. The paper mache egg was made in Germany and I love the graphics on the inside. The planter is similar to a Napcoware planter but the shape is slightly different. The seals are truly vintage and I was happy to find them at a thrift store that was new to me.

We are officially in the Autumn season - I have always like the first part of autumn but as the days become shorter and overcast, it is harder to be inspired. I will enjoy today, the sun is shining and there is a lovely wind blowing through the trees.

I was at the cottage when I was browsing marketplace and I saw this listing for vintage lights in their original boxes. It was quite close to me so I arranged for a quick pick up. I bought all 8 boxes for 50.00 but it was not until I got home and did some research that I realized that a few of these boxes were unusual. The Canadiana light set originally had figural bulbs in the shape of the illustrations on the box - two native people, an Inuit person, totem pole. Mountie and beaver. Sadly, all the bulbs are gone but I still am fascinated by graphics. The Noma box is pretty common but I have not found another image of the Silver Noel box.
Anyways , I love the graphics and all the light sets were released on the Canadian market 🇨🇦.

#pyrexplus D for Dominion glass with @marcelliemama3 and @2kewlvintage13

A little Canadian content from my cabin where I have been spending the last week of summer. Dominion glass was one of Canada’s major glass producers and this particular pattern is called Saguenay. They had multiple factories that produced glassware, dinnerware, glass containers and bottles for everyday items.
