A HISTORIC night for Jaguar Athletics! 🎉🏃🏾‍♂️

@tamusanantonio officially competed in its first cross country meet Tuesday at the UIW Twilight Meet, marking the beginning of a new chapter for both the men’s and women’s programs.

The @tamusaxctf Jaguar men finished seventh in the 6K, led by Taylor Warrick with a time of 20:38.12. Diego Ramirez, Derek Adams, Jacob Vargas and Payton Defelippis rounded out the scoring lineup.

The @tamusaxctf women placed eighth in the 4K, with Bethany Iñiguez leading the Jaguars with a team-best time of 16:05.87. Anna Munoz, Alicia Martinez, Miah Reyes and Kayla Puente also competed in the historic debut.

More than a race, this was the first step in building the future of Jaguar cross country.

Recently, I attended the @pncbank Pigskin Preview hosted by the @valeroalamobowl! 🏈

I enjoyed connecting with colleagues and friends, hearing season insights from ESPN’s Ian Fitzsimmons, and celebrating scholarship recipients from across our community, including several Jaguars.

Proud of our students and excited for the football season ahead!

First week of school complete.

We have already participated in 2 community service events.

- @tamusahousing helping with move in
-@swisd_swhsathl helping them run an early season cross country meet. Coach got some miles in helping to be the lead bike. What other head coach would offer to ride a bike for a HS race?

Voluntary training has been going amazing. We have had a great turnout and a fantastic group of supportive athletes getting after it.

Extremely impressed with the athletes who are committed to improvement.

Weightroom instruction Monday and Friday. Weight room body building circuit on Wednesday for active recovery.

Body weight calistenics.

Cross country media day.

Coach forgot to get photos of our freshman introduction to college camp on Tu/Th where we had an amazing group of speakers come to talk with athletes about transitioning into college.
