When it comes to my songwriting process, I typically like to work backwards. To me writing a song is like making a burger. Foundation first (Top bun, Bottom bun,) Patty (Middle bar 4th or 8th) Then all the remaining bars are my (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions etc) #SongwritingTips #CreativeProcess #MusicInspiration #ArtistLife #JBizz

#TBT to my first ever interview over 15 years ago. Junior year of High-School I was locked in. I was working part time at Five Guys saving up to record my debut mixtape #TheComeUp. OG @straytrootz
gave me a platform and I ran with it.
This premiered on @bnn_media
Via #PureKulcha TV in 2011.
The rest is history in the making. #ThrowBackThursday by @jaguarjbizz

When it comes to doing features with a MAJOR artist you have to make sure you have all your ducks in a row. That includes a split sheet, a vocal license agreement & in most cases a label clearance. These artist essentially become the label’s intellectual property and without all 3 your song will be flagged before upload or potentially taken down after the fact. These labels are in bed with these companies and with the complexity of AI today,
Nothing gets past anybody these days.

What keeps me going? The LOVE.
Despite the ups & downs of the
industry I’ve always thrived off being
the underdog. Showing the world you
can make what’s seems impossible
POSSIBLE. #Independent #indie
