It’s a frustrating paradox. We’ve somehow been conditioned to equate dense jargon and polysyllabic words with deep intellect. When someone speaks in a way that’s impossible to understand, our brains default to assuming, "They must know something I don’t."

Why we fall for the complexity trap:
The Illusion of Competence: Mistaking the mental challenges of decoding heavy text for profound wisdom.

In-Group Signaling: Using high-barrier language as a gatekeeping tool to feel exclusive.
Defensiveness: Wrapping weak arguments in linguistic coating so they're harder to critique.

The real irony? History’s greatest thinkers argued the exact opposite. George Orwell wrote that good prose should be like a windowpane—meant to reveal thoughts, not obscure them.

Complexity is often a mask for confusion. Simplicity is the ultimate proof of clarity.

In practice? It’s a delicate, high-wire balancing act that requires endless adaptability, quiet resilience, and an exhausting amount of behind-the-scenes effort. Modern teaching isn't just about delivering content—it's about navigating these endless systemic contradictions every single day.

A tiny insect literally goes to war for a 30mm female.

A female bird refuses to even glance at a mate until he builds her a complete, structural nest.

A male pufferfish carves geometrically flawless master architecture into the ocean floor just to earn her attention.

If the rest of the animal kingdom demands proof of devotion through actual effort, why are humans settling for "wyd?" texts and half-baked promises?
If he isn't building you a haven, he simply isn't trying hard enough. The math is simple. Take notes.
