Dalee! ***Guest Alert May 13 ***Julio Hanson is a Los Angeles–based actor, singer, writer, and creative visionary whose work lives at the intersection of performance, culture, and social impact. A proud Black and Panamanian artist, he brings a global perspective to his storytelling, shaped by his multilingual abilities in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, along with a working knowledge of Italian, American Sign Language, and Russian.Julio had the honor of working with the late Lamonte McLemore, founder of The 5th Dimension, who entrusted him with recording a collection of previously unreleased songs prior to his passing in 2026. A dynamic live performer, Julio has shared the stage with icons including Toni Braxton, Keith Washington, Prince, and Yolanda Adams. For many years, Julio served as Musical Director at St. Frances X. An actor prepares and an actor transforms.In an educational setting and an actor of color gets the chance to explore a character in a space that truly supports growth, not just filling a role with expectation, the artist expands and becomes powerful.A LOT OF TIMES, training centers Shakespeare and European classics while Black voices and characters remain underrepresented. For Black actors, that gap can limit connection to the craft and culture.
