DJ Lóa is an international DJ, singer and producer. Growing up as a singer and multi-instrumentalist, she’s always had an obsession with sound. As a DJ, her music is deeply influenced by her Afro-Latina Dominican roots, and you can hear global inspiration from the Caribbean, Africa, Latin America and Europe in her DJ sets. Her music will take you on a journey, as she often plays with the intersections of house, disco, bass, hip hop and jazz. DJ Lóa has played at international festivals like SXSW, Sundance Film Festival, Formula 1, and over 200 events and stages around the USA, Mexico and South America. She’s opened for major artists including Franc Moody, Chelina Manuhutu, Moska, LOVRA, The Polish Ambassador, Sunsquabi, Meredith Marks and more. DJ Lóa is also one of the founders of Babestock Music Festival, America's first EDM festival with all female DJs. She is from New York City but currently resides in Austin, TX. DJ Jah Karma brings the funky global beats wherever he goes. He held a weekly residency at Vivo Cocina on the East side for nine years, and he is a member of the Lava Lounge DJ collective from Flipside. Tribeza magazine commented that "the bar area at Vivo was hopping to the international funk sounds of DJ Jah Karma." Jah Karma has played all over the country, including SXSW, Art Outside, Euphoria Festival, Burning Man, Flipside, Austin Reggae Festival, Texas Hemp Festival, and Levitation Festival, and he has supported a broad range of bands, including Mark Farina, Lee Scratch Perry, Bunny Wailer, Rebelution, Jesse Royal, The Wailers, Balthvs, Mark Farina, Soja, Zion-I, Giant Panda Gorilla Dub Squad, Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Orgone, Brownout, Money Chicha, Cilantro Boombox, Superfonicos, Golden Dawn Arkestra, Imarhan, Riders Against the Storm, Quantic, Atash, Martin Perna (Antibalas) and Afrolicious (Bay Area).
