À quand remonte la dernière fois que tu as passé du temps, seule avec toi-même ? Pas un après-midi ou une soirée, mais quelques jours ?🤔

@monttremblant est une destination de choix pour une escapade en solo.
 Et l’automne ? Un moment siii idéal entre la folie de la rentrée et celui du temps des Fêtes.

Je viens de vivre l’expérience et je le recommande sans aucune hésitation !

Je viens de vivre le plus beau des 24 heures avec mon amie ! 🥹

À l’automne, la région des Laurentides est un endroit plus que parfait pour vivre un voyage entre filles. Les couleurs, les activités, la gastronomie, le plein air, le luxe – tout y est pour un merveilleux séjour.

Ceci est ton signe d’organiser un momcation !🥰

(English below) C’est fait. J’ai acheté mes billets d’avion et je pars en solo vers l’Europe.

Une semaine en France.
11 jours en Italie, quelques jours en solo et ensuite une retraite pour moi.

La gratitude qui m’habite. L’excitation de cette belle aventure qui approche.
L’envie de créer, explorer, découvrir, connecter….

The first back-to-school where there are no more kids to photograph. 🤍

What ? Already ?

Oh my. I had to take a minute to sit with all the emotions that were running through me.

On one hand, my heart is aching a little. Back-to-school was always such a beautiful time of year for us : from the shopping, to that first picture at the front door, from our annual family dinner with the grandparents after that first day. So many beautiful memories.

On the other hand, I am filled with so much gratitude for having had the chance to live all of these back-to-school moments with my two kids. I made the choice to be home with them and it is by far one of the best decisions I have ever made as a mom.

Tears are flowing, my heart overflowing with love and memories and yet I can’t help but smile. Ah, the dualities of life. Mission accomplished for this chapter of parenting.

To all the families starting a new school year : I wish you an amazing one. Create rituals. Be present. Celebrate the small and big moments of everyday life.

It goes by so fast... and I can now say that from experience.

To my kids, thank you for all these beautiful back-to-school moments I get to treasure. I love you so much. XO ❤️ taken in Sherbrooke, Quebec by @jaimedamak

Adresses gourmandes à Montréal 🍴 Some great foodie spots in Montreal 🍴

Si tu prévois un séjour downtown Montréal / Vieux-Montréal, voici quelques endroits que j’ai bien aimés lors de ma dernière visite. If you are headed to Montreal, here are some spots I loved during my last visit.

☕️ MELK Café (bureaux Sunlife) : leur café est délicieux et leur décaf est aussi excellent (décaféiné de façon naturelle). Le café est grand et très accueillant. / Great cafe and their decaf is a healthy one - YAY !
🥖 Parma Café pour un délicieux sandwich. Ils viennent de lancer une nouveauté sur un pain fait maison... oh que c’est bon ! / They launched a new sandwich with homemade bread… sooooo good !
🍋 La Boîte à crêpes pour leur limonade à la menthe : TROP BONNE et pas très sucrée / their mini limonade, delicious !
🌮 Bar Luz, à 20 min d’Uber du centre-ville mais ça vaut tellement le déplacement pour du vrai mexicain authentique / Yes it’s a 20 min Uber ride but it’s so worth it if you love real Mexican food.
🌀 Spirulina : pour un smoothie déjeuner fait avec des aliments de qualité (et des protéines) / Looking for a great smoothie spot ? Voilà !
🍜 HA à Cathcart pour un vietnamien sur le pouce, oh combien délicieux ! / Cathcart foodcourt has so many good options like this Vietnamese joint.

J’ai seulement été en ville 36 heures mais oh, cette mini escapade m’a tellement fait du bien. De belles discussions, des pauses gourmandes, du temps pour moi, un événement média qui a dépassé mes attentes et une Jaime qui a osé sortir de sa zone de confort.
I was only town for 36 hours but oh this little getaway was exactly what I needed - great conversations, some delicious food, some time for me and a media event that was the cherry on top.
