Oslo is one of my favourite cities, and I’m grateful that my work keeps bringing me back 🇳🇴 This trip was spent with Escape Hairdressing, shooting a product campaign and teaching a one-day social media class. A big thank you to David Wyke, the owner of Escape, who always looks after me when I’m over there. Being made to feel so welcome makes these trips even more special. I’m grateful for the work, but also for the people I’ve met through it. After years of working closely with one brand, I was scared to go my own way. I wondered whether I’d still get to create, travel and build the life I wanted. What I found was more freedom than I expected. I started working with different people, following ideas I hadn’t had room for before, and thinking seriously about what I could build myself. That’s where my businesses began to take shape. I wanted to use what I’d learned to help more people, in more ways. Creating content is still a huge part of who I am, but I’ve also been building the support around it so the online side of a business feels less overwhelming to run. I’ve learnt I can’t do everything at once. Over the past year, one of the biggest things I’ve had to learn is when to stop. I put a lot of pressure on myself. I have a million ideas, I want to build everything at once, and sometimes I completely overwhelm myself in the process. Taking myself out of my usual surroundings and finding somewhere quieter genuinely helps me reset. Sometimes that means closing the laptop. Sometimes it means opening it somewhere completely different. I’m learning that taking care of myself and my mind isn’t time away from everything I’m building. It feels like the right time to reintroduce myself and what I actually do. Hello! Jaime here (Jaimo) Over the last year my work has evolved, my experience has grown and I’ve built different parts of my business. But when I strip it all back, this is how it all started. creating content. working with people and helping businesses tell their story. Over the last seven years, that has taken me further than I ever expected. I’ve had some incredible opportunities, worked alongside global brands, independent businesses and talented educators, travelled, created, learned and had real conversations with people across the world about their businesses, their challenges and what actually works. I know this industry because I’ve lived it, behind the camera, behind the content and behind the strategy. And now I want to bring all of that experience together and offer it in my own way. I’m still independent. Still hands-on. Still me. Just with seven years of experience, a much bigger toolkit and a lot more to offer. I’m now offering content creation, social-first content and lifestyle photography, alongside social media management for businesses that need ongoing support. And there’s another piece coming. @jaimohq is launching soon. Websites, landing pages, systems, CRM and automation the infrastructure behind the content that helps turn attention into enquiries, bookings and customers.
