There’s so much negativity being directed towards the remake of Ocarina of Time, and it seems to me that I’m one of the only people that is genuinely excited for it.

I like the stylised look of it - this is how Ocarina of Time looked to me when I played it 20 or so years ago on my GameCube Zelda Collector’s Edition disc.

Hyrule looks absolutely stunning, the animations look phenomenal, and the character designs are intentionally goofy as that’s always somewhat been the case with Zelda.

Ocarina of Time was one of the games that made me fall in love with video games so I am very much looking forward to experiencing it again with a new coat of paint.

Also the jump button got me more excited than it probably should…

Happy 40th anniversary to The Legend of Zelda!

My first experience with the series occurred during a holiday in Greece back in 2004, inside a hotel lobby of all places…

At that moment, I set sail on a boat, experiencing the magic of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the very first time. Since then, I have had a nonstop growing love for video games, especially as an artform, which eventually led to my current career as a lecturer in Games Design at the University of Staffordshire!

If it wasn’t for Zelda, I wouldn’t be who I am today. It’s a bit cheesy to say that a video game changed your life, but it did for me.
