On #nationalindigenouspeoplesday we went to the powwow to celebrate, remember and support. We walked around to look at art and other vendors, and we happened upon a beautiful artist named Paul Shilling. Without saying a word, he saw me, searched for a specific print and handed it to me. It was a portrait of a woman sitting under the moon. She seemed wise, but still young at heart. I bought the print and found out that it will be a one of a kind print that no one else will ever have. It made me feel special, like the artist saw me. He didn’t say a word, but his eyes were kind and I heard him anyway. When we celebrate this day in futures to come, I hope we remember the past but I also hope we don’t take it for granted. We are lucky that we have First Nations and Indigenous people that care for the land and I’m grateful for the land I stand on. It’s not mine, but I appreciate the kindness, the sharing and artistry that needs no words. by @jaimzb

#unemployedgirl buys cookies. Shameless plug, my good friend made cookies and they were good. If you also want thick yummy icing sugar cookies, and you live close to Toronto, you can also have cookie goodness. Karlene McCahon is also really talented! 🫶🏽 by @jaimzb

Your favourite #unemployedgirl is at the Toronto Animation Arts Festival (or TAAFI for short) to pitch a show that I’ve helped Co-create with my friend @b0ne.jangles Unemployed and ready for that next step. Can’t wait to share the show with you all. The small team we have has been working so hard for the last year and we are here to get that deal!!! #showmethemoney #butalso #hireme #jobsearch #watchanimation #Animation #pitching #talentedcrew by @jaimzb

#unemployedgirl met/hung out with Alyson Court today. I am still unemployed, but slowly gigs are coming in. SLOWLY. But when you get a gig with a childhood hero, you post it. I didn’t get a photo with her, but she was wearing a shirt with toilets on it. #nextlevelactivated #childrensentertainment #productionassistant #recordbooth by @jaimzb

This beautiful woman. This incredibly funny comedian. This wonder to behold on screen is too damn young. I hope she knows we loved her as if she was our own mom. Rest in peace you beautiful soul. We are grateful to have so many on screen moments to keep your amazing memory alive. 💔 by @jaimzb

#unemployedgirl gets emotional!! When the @bluejays talk about their magic friendships on the 2025 Team, I feel like I know exactly what they are talking about. Our Corus post production team (I wish had more pictures of everyone) was/is exactly the kind of magic 🪄 they talk about. And on top of that, we knew that we had something special and never took it for granted. I miss you Corus Post! Thanks for another great Vinyl Party PJ. We missed all the ones that couldn’t make it, and it was amazing to see the ones that did. Let’s do it again soon shall we?!?! #imonlyhereforthefood #happyholidays #wanderingaroundCorus #homefortheholidays by @jaimzb
