Recently I’ve been biking around the city on sundays plein air painting, it’s been nice hitting up neighborhoods I’ve never been to, this heat has had me v sweaty and disheveled but ppl still approach me while painting and I can see a lil glimmer in their eyes and/or I see a look of confusion, looking forward to doing more

god, my god, may today be, 2025, dried acrylic, gouache, ink, and gel medium on canvas, 14” x 9”

Queer|Art presents “Holding it Together,” a group exhibition bringing together 20 queer NY-based artists organized in collaboration between Marco DaSilva, Isa López and @beverlysnyc. The exhibition is a fundraiser responding to the escalating defunding initiatives by the current administration, whose policies flirt on the edge of authoritarianism, formulating the precarious economic landscape we currently face. Rooted in principles of solidarity economies, the exhibition calls to collectively build systems of support through local, informal, and mutual networks. 100% of the funds raised directly support @queerart and participating artists.

The show opens on June 18th, with a reception from 5–8 PM at 297 Grand St in Chinatown, NYC and an afterparty featuring DJ sets by @glue___nyc residents: @bev.vega @sinistare @tek.nena

Exhibited artists: @jordanygenao @armando.alleyne @mashgravity @trelltrek @alphabet_party @devinnmorris @devinosorio @felipebaeza @theheatherlynnjohnson @jairo.a.serna @lizzycollins7 @skymall98 @miguelmartinezstudio @mmmontemar @mujero_ @polmorton @ridikkuluz @rodrigo_._moreira @seanoconnorart @terryhempfling by @jairo.a.serna
