HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WIFE! ❤️🎉

Without question, she is a gift to our family and to everyone who knows her.

Many of you know this, but she is an amazing wife, a mother of four girls, a mentor, and a friend to so many. To know her is to love her.💕

@brittneimbarnes_ we can both agree that the last three years have been committed to sowing good seed. From earning your doctorate to passing your Principal Administration License Exam, you have done the work!

I know I speak for both of us when I say that this is a year of harvest as you have begun to reap in ways that are far beyond what you could have imagined.

Everything you have sacrificed for, and faithfully pursued, is beginning to produce fruit.

Wilderness seasons are an unavoidable part of life, and sometimes, as illustrated in the story of Luke 4:1-13, they are even orchestrated by God. However, Jesus imparts a profound lesson: he overcomes temptation not by reciting his own words, but through the transformative power of God’s word.

My sincere prayer is that you would begin to place your trust in God’s words above your own. When you can’t trust your own words, you can trust God’s word.

— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)

Sometimes God answers our prayers differently than we expect.

We pray for Him to remove the struggle, but instead He gives us the strength to endure it.

I’ve come to find that the same God who can take it away is the same God who can sustain you through it.

Perhaps in this season He’s developing a deeper dependence as a steady reminder that you can’t make it without Him.

You are everything we could’ve prayed for and so so much more. Watching you grow and mature from that tiny little newborn has been such a gift.

Family! Summer Hangouts are officially underway at @wearethelifechurch 🎣☀️

Today, I had the honor of hosting a Fishing Hangout for the men of our church. Fishing is something my father and grandparents introduced me to years ago, and to this day, it’s one of the most therapeutic hobbies I enjoy. Being able to share that experience with other men made the day even more meaningful. 🙌🏾

One of the things I love most about moments like these is that they remind us that community doesn’t only happen during a church service. Sometimes it happens on a pier 🎣, a golf course ⛳️, a hiking trail 🥾, or around a simple conversation. As men, we need spaces where relationships can be built and real wisdom can be shared. 🤝🏾

What made the day even more special was that before we packed up, we took time to share prayer requests and intentionally pray over each man. 🙏🏾

And the best part? Before it was over, the fellas were already asking when we could run it back! 🔥 Several men were also asking how they could get more connected and jump in on Dream Team. 💪🏾

All I can say is that my heart is full, and I’m grateful for every man who came out. 🎣🙌🏾
