JaJa Circus in Portland is a creative, multidisciplinary art space founded on the principle of providing access to
circus and performing arts to all who are interested.

We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and non-competitive atmosphere where all are encouraged to develop new skills, build strength, connect with others, achieve their goals, and have fun.

We have professional instructors who specialize in a variety of circus arts, aerial classes, and disciplines.

Our ceilings are 26′ high with 20 rigging points in a 4000 square foot, light-filled venue.

We welcome experienced performers to contact us about rigging your personal equipment.

Go to jajacircus.com, go to "Class Schedule" in the menu, find Aerial Flow Training on any Wednesday, add your info, sign waiver, & pay. It is $20 to sign up - this is not the same waiver or fee as Flow Night which is a sliding scale donation at the door. There are 8 spots available and several different apparatuses to choose from. There's a 6-8pm and 8-10pm time slot 🔥

I’ll be teaching courses designed to bring you from a complete beginner with no knowledge of rope dart or flow arts to a competent and fire-safe dartist!!

Oct 7: Introductory Rope Dart
Come learn the technical and movement fundamentals of Rope Dart- a modern flow toy derived from an old Chinese martial arts weapon! In this class we will cover the very basics of rope dart spins, shots, and movement! ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! If you’ve never held a rope dart before, this is the class for you! Please come dressed to move, bring water, and a dart if you have one! If not, I will have a few to share!

Oct 14: Intro-Intermediate Rope Dart: Snappy Shots and Slack Management
A continuation of last week’s class, join us in the wonderful world of Snappy Shots and Slack Management! Keep your dart work clean and precise with explorations of twining shots, kicks, pendulums, fire-safe slack control, and more! Some dart experience is encouraged, but if you missed us last week, no worries! Dartists of all levels are welcome in this class! Please come dressed to move, bring water, and a dart if you have one! If not, I will have a few to share!

Oct 21: Intermediate Rope Dart Spins, Wraps, and Jumps!
Have you ever wanted to leap and whirl around the fire circle with your dart? Then this class is for you! This week, we will explore quick turns and footwork, barrel jumps, pirouette shots, and all sorts of body wraps to bring your dart flow to the next level! Good plane control and slack management are required for this class, but we will move at Your Pace! Dartists of all levels are welcome in this class! Please come dressed to move, bring water, and a dart if you have one! If not, I will have a few to share!

Oct 28: Dancing with Friends: Partner Rope Dart Fundamentals
What could be more fun than getting to do rope dart with a friend? Grab a buddy, or come to meet someone new, and delve into the world of partner dart! We’ll start with some mirroring by @jajapdxcircus

I'll be hosting the aerial flow training every week from 8-10pm, come say hi! There will be an earlier aerial flow time slot from 6-8pm as well.
