5.

5 years ago today, life changed in an instant.

The first words I shared with the public were about wanting to wake up and have purpose. I truly believe we are all searching for purpose constantly, and in doing so, helping others is one of the greatest paths to finding it.

To think it’s been half a decade in this chair is crazy. Every day, we continue to fight the war of paralysis while never losing sight of living the fullest life possible.

I don’t say this lightly: I would not be where I am today without all of you. The love, support, prayers, laughs, tears, and encouragement have kept me going through some of our hardest moments. For that, I will forever be grateful.

Five years ago, I had no idea what the next five would look like. I still don’t know what the next five will bring…only the Man Upstairs knows.

But I do know this: I’m going to work my hardest to fight paralysis, give back, build a career, laugh, cry, make memories, and keep pushing forward.

So, again, thank you.

We keep rolling.

Year 6. LFG.

No words will truly describe what @babsoncollege has meant to me. During one of the most uncertain times in my life, I sat in a hospital bed wondering what my future would look like. Over four years ago in my hospital room, I got the news that I would be attending Babson and I had no idea how much that opportunity would change my life.

Babson gave me lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and opportunities to grow in ways I never imagined. I’m incredibly grateful to every person I met along the way for the support, encouragement, and belief they showed me throughout this journey.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to face adversity with energy, gratitude, and purpose. Keep showing up, keep leading, and keep believing in yourself.

I am forever honored for yesterday to strap the leg braces on, grab the walker, rise with the help of my brothers, and share our journey as the class of 2026.

Most importantly, remember: there are NO BAD DAYS.

Thank you, Babson! The man on wheels is out! 🦫 by @jake.thibeault

Unbelievable few days in the desert! Can’t thank @markwahlberg enough for having us out. Was unreal to swing the sticks, grind, and make some amazing memories.

“The first words out of my mouth were, well I’m ready to fight. What I didn’t realize was that chosen journey, the words flipped-the journey was chosen for me.”

It was an honor to host Babson hockey senior, Jake Thibeault last Friday in our annual speaker series. Jake’s perspective on adversity, resilience, and strength is what college athletics is all about.

Thank you, Jake for your inspiring words and for being a leader so many can look up to. 💚🦫

This is what Babson Athletics is about: building resilience, community, and better people — on and off the ice.

Thanks to @jake.thibeault and @babsonhockey for making our community even stronger.
