March 28th 2026 | Initiated into the Iota Omicron Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha as an Honorary Brother. Seeing the work of Sinfonia all of these years from a distance always filled me with admiration. Had a great time at the Johnny Appleseed District of the Barbershop Harmony Society Fall Convention with @intermissionqt . As many know, this is my last endeavor with the group as I've now moved to Pittsburgh.

Looking forward to seeing their continued success as they look for a new bass.

Congruently, I'm looking forward to new adventures in Pittsburgh alongside my friends in @vocalconfluence . by @jakebavarsky

Prism is Real.

Denver International is done and so much good has occurred! ✨

Prism reached new heights becoming the 13th best Barbershop Chorus in the world with a high score of 85.4 🌈

We also said congratulations to our new Sous Chef @allonsylotz 🧑‍🍳

I hosted some Coaching Workshops in order to foster the new generation of coaches! It was highly successful and looks like it'll be part of the International Harmony University Curriculum for years to come! 🗒️

We also had the honor of celebrating the engagement of @divadiane__ and @patrick._.hi ! My heart goes out to you two. May your years be blessed, your home filled with love and your life together filled with joy. 💍

Happy 2024! 2023 has passed and gone! This past year I got a new job at Nationwide, became BOTY of my home chorus, started an educational-travel quartet that teaches public school programs about Barbershop Harmony, began my journey into coaching acapella and barbershop groups, competed at the INT contest in Louisville with my quartet Average Intelligence scoring 8th in the Next Gen Contest as well as an International Performance with Singing Buckeyes and the Alliance Chorus, spent 24 hours in a Waffle House, formed a fun quartet at Harmony University called Hi-Ho Cherry-O!, made my director debut in Dallas with a new chorus called Prism and qualified for INT contest in Cleveland our first time out! (Insta won't let me tag everyone ☹️), bought a house and now have a mortgage (scary) and many more wonderful memories!

Wishing everyone a blessed year filled with love, happiness, and everything your heart desires. If you have the opportunity to achieve your dreams, seize it. It may be filled with tribulations and hardship, but the pain is worth it. Let this be your year! Love you all ❤️ by @jakebavarsky

It's been 1 week since a life-changing weekend with some of the best folk out there. What started out as just a dream amongst some friends turned into a reality of a family.

Prism Barbershop Chorus is born and reached new heights. These talented people earned their place in Cleveland 2024 with an average International Qualifying Score of 82.1. Unbelievable.

The next chapter ahead will undoubtably take a lot of work, dedication, and drive. We will rise to the occasion and show the world that barbershop harmony is in good hands! Next Generation Barbershop is THIS Generation Barbershop!
