Trainspotting (1996) |

“Choose life”

Transpotting is nasty. It’s very good, but also very real at the same time with its stark portrayal of heroin addiction. It moves quick and can be hilarious, but it also has some intense visuals that walk the line of a horror movie. Not exactly a before bed kind of film but I would still highly recommend.

Horror Ads Cont. |

Diving into vintage horror ads for my Slasher Summer design was incredibly inspiring. There’s something rewarding about taking horror films, both new and old, and spinning them into an idea that feels refreshing to make.

Ti West’s X Trilogy |

I love looking back at some of my older designs and realizing that old me couldn’t make what I’m making today, and present me couldn’t make those old designs again either.

Designed in 2024 in order of release.

Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960) |

“A boy’s best friend is his mother.”

Wanted to give this classic another shot. Trying to channel my inner Saul Bass in the alternate by using fragmented shapes to build out the composition.

Collection 02 – Horror in Japanese | Alien (1979)

In space no one can hear you scream.

Out of all the posters I’ve made for Collection 02, this Alien design easily went through the most versions. I fought hard against putting the adult Xenomorph front and center until I asked myself what I truly want from an Alien poster. And in my opinion, it has to showcase the creature design as large as possible. Voilà.

Collection 02 – Horror in Japanese | Fright Night (1985)

If you love being scared, it’ll be the night of your life.

I took a trip to Japan this year and brought back a bunch of promotional film magazines that were made specifically for theatrical releases and handed out only when that film was in theaters. One of them I took home was for Fright Night, one of my favourite horror movies of all time and my favourite film poster ever.

Those magazines ended up inspiring this collection. What I love about Japanese graphic design is how little it holds back with unconventional compositions, character portraits mixed with scenes from the film, and typography that’s worked into just about every available space.

It’s October, and you know what that means… horror designs all month long! I’m fired up to make Collection 02 part of my October tradition. Hope you enjoy my take on horror posters through a Japanese lens.

Start the Show |

I’m very excited to share the alternate and official poster I had the opportunity to create for the fantastic short film Start the Show.

Horror is my bread and butter, so having the freedom to combine that love with the extravagant design language of 1930s cinema was incredibly exciting and creatively rewarding. I pulled from period film posters and advertising while leaning into ornate typography, dramatic character portraits, and aged print textures to make the artwork feel like it could have existed alongside the film itself.

Start the Show is a musical horror short about a 1930s starlet fighting for agency and survival in a cyclical Betty Boop inspired hell.

Couldn’t be more proud of how these designs turned out, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been trusted with bringing the film into poster form. I’ve tagged the film below. Go check it out!
