I'm not supposed to pick favourites, but SR2 has always been my favourite space at @strongroom.studios it has an unbelievable repertoire, the control room sounds incredible and there's a particular sense of calm in the space that I just love especially when working through nitty gritty final stage mixes with artists/bands.

This being the case, it's safe to say I certainly felt somewhat daunted when I picked up the gauntlet to redesign the studio this spring. It felt important to bring @jamie_reid_archive back into the studio (RIP legend) while preserving the sense of calm and focus that we'd grown to appreciate in the room. I wanted the room to feel MORE open, but also MORE creative, especially as I knew we were moving away from a mix room offering to an artist-first studio more intended for songwriting.

What we've ended up with is something I am immensely proud of, that feels authentically Strongroom, very "musical" and inspiring to be in. Seeing the photos now shot by the unbelievably talented and mega sound @jasperfry (who I've been a fan of for ages) makes it all feel super real, and the response since we reopened has been so gratifying; we literally can't get in to do any snagging for another two weeks!

None of this would have been possible without the tireless dedication of @chyaddhx @rhosyn @mike_signo
@honzaa.a___ @erin.bj @mick_petts @isima_limited_construction and I'm especially grateful to @richardboote for trusting us with such an important piece of history. Thanks everyone 🙏 taken in Strongroom London by @jakemooray

Very happy release day to my beautiful friends @forbreakfastband

Their debut album 'Longer Than Spring' is a majestic and sophisticated evolution beyond the fizzy-brained madness of the two EPs we made together at @shakenoakstudios and @oldjet

I'm so pleased and proud that I got to be a part of this album, recording the chamber ensemble "Borkestra" parts at @strongroom.studios

Massive well done to @guswhiteproducer for the smooth sounding production and big ups my mastering bestie 4 life @katietavini for making it sound predictably phat as ever 🐘

For Breakfast will be playing their album launch at New River Studios 28th May. See you all there 🫡 by @jakemooray

@voka_gentle - Domestic Bliss out on @state51

Vocal recording by me on Torpedo Mike, Battle Sequence, The Creature and K Sees The Deal Go Down (one of my new favourite songs).

Particularly enjoyed tracking @sm__sher live vocals with a funkberator harmonica mic direct through our janky Echoplex at @strongroom.studios while @william_j_stokes and @msn_ellie played with the slider time for effect 🎤🎛️

All mixed to sound usable and groovable by the one and only @sampettsdavies

Thank you friends 🤍 by @jakemooray
